The Consumer Connections Manager, Canada is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance consumer engagement and drive brand loyalty through social media and digital. In this role you will define, socialize, and execute needle-moving efforts in social media for Canadian domestic brands and Global brands within the Suntory portfolio. You must possess in-depth knowledge of all social media properties, trends, best-practices and tactics, and support a “cocktail” of paid social, search, word-of-mouth programming, UGC, content development, CRM and micro- and macro-influencer engagement.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement full funnel consumer connections strategies for our portfolio that align with the company’s overall Suntory Global Spirits objectives.
  • Create and execute multi-channel plans across touchpoints including paid Media, Social, Influencer, Web, CRM, and Digital Activation, including creation of social/digital assets as needed.
  • Oversee the strategy, planning, and performance management for paid media campaigns, delivering on brand objectives and maximizing ROI through ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with Media and Digital agencies for planning and execution to fulfill Canada consumer campaigns or execute directly on smaller brands or projects as needed
  • Monitor and maintain dashboards and digital reporting to track performance trends against Media and Digital KPIs with speed and agility.
  • Inform and develop strategic consumer journeys, digital product enhancements, and marketing & audience data segmentation, and establishing new KPIs
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, legal, and customer service.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve consumer engagement strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 4+ years of experience within media and digital across brand/agency roles with strong expertise and familiarity across channels including paid media (with an emphasis on Video, Programmatic, and Social), eCommerce, and digital owned and operated (Web, Social/Influencer, CRM)
  • Understanding of the broader digital and media strategy discipline, including touchpoint mix/prioritization, buying efficiency, effectiveness in execution, and agency relationships
  • Strong ability building, executing, and scaling omnichannel strategies including being well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Strong quantitative skills required to analyze and optimize campaign performance with deep understanding of key digital marketing metrics and familiarity with media measurement and verification partners (i.e. DoubleVerify, IRI, Market Mix Modeling, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to set deadlines, track progress, manage up/down and expertly leverage tools like PowerPoint and Excel to support daily work
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful social and digital campaigns within the alcohol beverage sector would be a preferred but not necessary, including experience with paid media, social media, and influencer marketing
  • Proven track record of leading with influence, working in a highly matrixed environment and stewarding cross-functional teams to deliver business impact
  • Self-starter, with a passion to challenge the status quo, curiosity, desire, and ability to dive deeper into consumer trends
  • Ability to work successfully with teams and independently on multiple projects under tight deadlines with limited supervision
  • Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative approaches to connect with consumers
