Role Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: This role involves providing strategic support to the business by identifying and evaluating opportunities to change operational models. It also involves driving the development of insight generation through financial analysis and business acumen to support commercial decision making. The candidate should be forward-thinking and able to utilize robust and advanced analytics to derive business scenarios, predictive and prescriptive analysis to come up with possible actions and guide stakeholders towards a solution.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: This role will be responsible for leading monthly actuals reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes for the business unit, as well as supporting the Sales & Operations Planning process. They should be able to provide detailed variance analysis to find out the root cause of business drivers and monitor and challenge P&L expenses.
  • Business Improvement / Control Environment & Compliance: This role should also be able to drive change, challenge the status quo, and identify new ways of agile working. They will be responsible for overseeing spending effectively in trade spending and marketing expense to ensure business compliance, internal policies, and local regulations are well in place.
  • Team Management and Communications: This role should also be able to establish trusted relationships and work collaboratively within the Finance team and across all areas of the business to deliver organizational outcomes and champion a collective style of management.


  • Degree qualified with finance or accounting qualification and with 10+ years of mixed experience from audit firm and relevant industry (FMCG/Spirits) is a plus.
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English (both written and spoken).
  • Systems/software – hands-on experience in using Microsoft Excel & SAP (essential) as well as previous exposure to ERP and management reporting/consolidation systems (preferable).
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management – demonstrated experience in influencing and managing multiple stakeholders across geographies, building mutually beneficial, profit-focused business relationships.
  • Cross Functional Working – Proven experience in working proactively across commercial functions to deliver total business performance solutions.
  • Comfortable consolidating and manipulating large data sets to derive insightful analysis and create financial models. Strong interpreter of data by equipping solid analytical skills and good at numbers
  • Risk Management - Balances short and long-term needs. Able to identify and address risks and opportunities for the business based on an understanding of categories and brands.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, with agility and a continuous improvement mindset.
