Bottling Operations Manager  



What makes this a great opportunity?


We are looking for a strong and influential people leader to join our team at Springburn in the role of Bottling Operations Manager.  Reporting into the Senior Manager - Scotch Packaging & Supply Operations, the successful candidate will lead a team of 60+ employees including Team Leaders, Production Operatives and Warehouse Operatives to satisfy customer orders on time and in full whilst ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are followed.


Role Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be responsible for: 


  • Driving a safety culture at all times and looking at ways to continuously improve ways of working 
  • Driving a culture of employee engagement and satisfaction where people feel valued and recognised
  • Driving high performance to ensure that KPIs are achieved 
  • Leading the One Beam Suntory Way (Lean Journey) across Bottling Operations focusing on Teamwork, Focused Improvement, Quality, Safety, and Asset Care. 
  • Leading key projects that will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence 
  • Driving efficient production planning to satisfy demand and customer satisfaction 
  • Developing, coaching and training of people managers, production operatives and warehouse operatives 
  • Developing strong working relationships with peers and stakeholders across the business 
  • Satisfying robust financial controls including budget focus & cost saving initiatives 



Qualifications & Experience


It would be desirable for the successful candidate to:


  • Be educated to degree level in a related discipline (BEng, BSc) 
  • Have experience of Lean manufacturing in a fast pace production environment 
  • Have experience of TRACC
  • Have full knowledge and awareness of all relevant compliance standards (ISO 9001, HACCP etc.)
  • Have a relevant leadership qualification / accreditation
