A great opportunity to join a dynamic team, as a Warehouse Manager within our central packaging function, in a business with fantastic brands and ambitious growth plans.

 

Role Responsibilities

The job holder will be responsible for Managing all warehousing on site. This includes Dry Goods and Finished Goods along with overseeing all Transport movements between the central belt locations including subcon location.

 

As Warehouse Manager your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop the warehouse team ensuring all Safety, HMR&C and compliance regulations are embedded. (7 direct reports)
  • Implement / Management of the Perpetual Inventory counting process across all warehouses. (Total stockholding of 6000 pallets)
  • Lead the case assembly team to make in advance of production requirements (6 direct reports)
  • To effectively manage the Warehouse Space to achieve peak efficiency on site.
  • To implement strategies and lead the warehouse team to continuously improve the logistics operation on site.
  • Creation / monitoring of the warehouse KPI’s / objectives
  • Produce monthly Warehouse Term Report
  • Responsibility for ensuring FIFO stock control methodology
  • Ensuring all QC held stock is identified, segregated and held on the system.
  • Control internal transport movement budget of £1.7 million and ensure vehicle utilisation is maintained.
  • Prepare annual budgets

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 5 years Warehouse Management experience in FMCG bonded facilities
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing / bottling industry, working with bonded product preferred
  • Production line management desirable
  • Applicants to be highly numerate, great communicator, IT literate with experience of using Warehousing Management Systems (SAP will be an advantage) and Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Budget Control with ability to control circa £3 million per annum
  • Managing Haulage / Transport experience
  • Development of Warehouse key performance indicators.
  • Demonstrable ability to implement and carry out RCA and improvement initiatives (trained to Green Belt level)
  • ROSPA / IOSH safety qualified
  • Previous experience in working with Luxury / High Value products preferred
  • Demonstratable creation / development of high performing team culture
  • Maintains a positive can-do attitude and demonstrates a sense of urgency and delivers excellent output.
  • Ability to relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that encourages cooperation
  • Attention to detail and good at problem solving
  • Able to work with large amounts of data
