Role Responsibilities

Position Mission

The GTR Senior Shopper Marketing Manager position is responsible for best in class shopper marketing, activation, and category management for the GTR business. The role must work closely in partnership with both Brand Marketing and Commercial contacts to ensure excellence in execution and a true customer centric approach is adopted.

 

The role will require a relentless focus on creating and deploying full 360 campaigns that are rich in consumer & shopper insight and that are guaranteed to drive mutual beneficial growth for BSI and its customers. With a keen eye for data, the candidate will have a track record for turning insight into action across a full range of consumer touchpoints to excite, engage and convert shoppers to purchase both in store and out of store.   

 

Responsibilities

  1. Developing and executing Best in Class Shopper Marketing Strategy
    • Best in class omnichannel delivery of brand plans and objectives across all customers within the region, executed through customer and shopper programs
    • One global strategy with clear activation guidelines and sign off procedures to deliver global consistency with clear execution standards
    • Full 360 execution plans to ensure execution across all touchpoints including digital, ecommerce, pre-store and instore
    • In conjunction with the brand team, develop and then manage deployment of GTR specific activation toolkits and educational /sales materials based across all channels and touch points
    • Complete comprehensive post activity reviews with ROI and learnings
    • Maintain an excellent understanding of competitor best practice across retail promotions and activation and work with Insights to learn and enhance our activations

 

  1. Effective Partnering to create a High Performing, Engaged, Diverse and inclusive Team
    • Effective stakeholder partnering with both Brand Marketing, Marketing Services and Commercial teams to ensure one joined up strategy
    • Champion of the category framework to ensure that all stakeholders are brought on the journey to ensure one consistent language across the business

 

  1. External Agency Partnerships and Key Projects
    • Manage and lead our executional agency partnerships for quality, costs and scale aligned with brand guidelines and objectives
    • Ensure the successful execution and measurement of key projects (eg RSVP*3) within key markets and the deployment and embedding of these tools

 

  1. Customer Planning and Partnerships
    • Lead annual customer marketing plans (and customer planning process) from inception through to deployment, ensuring rich in insight
    • Ensure a category and shopper centric approach in all planning and execution
    • Represent the business with key retailer partners in key meetings to drive engagement to BSI shopper programs through joint growth opportunities

 

  1. Domestic Collaboration and Innovation
    • Support the brand marketing team on innovation development, execution and deployment across the globe ensuring strong innovation launch plans executed
    • Deliver strong alignment and executional timing with domestic markets for maximum brand impact on BI spend and executions

 

  1. Brand Investment Management and Optimization
    • Prioritize BI spend to the biggest areas of opportunity (ROI centric) to ensure the programs are activated in priority geographies, channels and customers to support the recovery delivering both Beam Suntory and Customer Shopper Objectives

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree- BS/BA or equivalent
  • Team player who thrives in a high-performing, diverse and inclusive team
  • Prior senior experience in trade marketing, retail trade marketing and/or commercial planning
  • Digital & eCommerce Experience
  • Category Management & Passion for turning insight into action
  • Sound P&L management and ROI understanding
  • Outstanding stakeholder management capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing categories
