We have an ambitious vision for the Global Travel Retail business in Suntory Global Spirits, and to achieve these ambitious goals, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Retail Excellence, GTR to develop and lead strategic initiatives associated with Retail Excellence to drive a global consistency in the execution of commercial objectives and priorities, and a luxury/premium experience for shoppers across key airports globally.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, cascade and execute the GTR Retail Excellence strategy, leading and directing the business plan for the defined strategic locations
  • Develop and implement global standards for in-store airport execution and oversee highest standards of our retail boutiques and permanent visibilities.
  • Develop & execute the tracking mechanism which will help in delivering the GTR ambition
  • Co-Deliver the agreed commercial P&L by taking ownership of the strategic location P&L, depletion plan and Market Share ambitions.
  • Work with the global team to deliver the KPIs centered around Execution Excellence translating to the eventual P&L Delivery
  • Establish the best practice and playbook for partnering with Key Airport Management and Travel Retail customers, identifying and expanding commercial opportunities basis on-ground trends vs. competition.
  • Collaborate with various functions (such as Marketing and Commercial) to enhance engagement and develop cross-functional ways of working which result in excellent execution and a luxury experience across key airports.
  • Lead the Retail Excellence capability need analysis, develop a learning & development program in team and wider GTR & implementation across business.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of commercial experience with a strong retail experience gained in account management, merchandising, retail, or category roles. FMCG-related experience preferred.
  • Degree level education.
  • Strong commercial acumen and solid understanding of the global landscape of customers/ airport retailers – A solid combination of commercial leadership shopper/trade marketing knowledge.
  • Ability to create execution strategies including Merchandising / Negotiations/ Data Analytics / Promotional effectiveness and competition analysis
  • Sound business agility – demonstrate the flexibility and adaptability in a wide range of situations and the ability to embrace and drive change.
  • Excellent communication skills – effective tailored communication across a variety of audiences, in both written & oral English.
  • Enterprise thought leadership and perspective on the most critical growth drivers of the business over the long-terml
  • Communication and Presentation / Facilitation Skills (verbal & written): Effectively transfers thoughts and expresses ideas orally or verbally in individual or group situations.
