What makes this a great opportunity?
We are looking for a high-performing strategy professional at a manager level who is interested in the drinks sector and wants to turbocharge their professional growth with a hands-on experience in the industry. This position will report to the VP, APAC Strategy, with exposure to senior leaders, including President, APAC.
This position will contribute to high profile APAC Strategy initiatives, through:
- The development of Suntory Global Spirits mid- long-term strategies for APAC region.
- Design and implement a range of high-profile, cross-functional strategies under APAC that support the growth of the business (e.g. portfolio initiatives, market development strategies etc.)
Role Responsibilities
1. Supporting Strategy Cadence for APAC Business
- Partnership with APAC leadership team, development and ongoing refinement of strategic areas of focus
- Supporting delivery of APAC Strat Plan and Big Rocks cadence to an exceptional standard
- Support to delivering high-quality ad-hoc strategic presentations to support engagements with various stakeholders on areas of importance to APAC business (e.g., APAC leadership team)
2. Supporting design of APAC business Strategy
- Strategic marketplace analysis and competitive landscape analysis including PEST analysis, to assess competitor actions/marketplace trends and implications for Suntory Global Spirits APAC, delivering ongoing management reporting.
- Tracking progress and execution against strategic goals and updating within regular business cadence (i.e. QBR’s)
- Supporting in-depth assessments aimed at defining winning strategies for the organization and identifying what will be required to support growth objectives
- Supporting preparation of all board materials and key executive documentation
3. Partnering on key strategic projects
- Business partnering of various APAC key initiatives on high priority organizational projects/ initiatives (including analytical, tracking/scorecards, project management)
Qualifications
- Location - The role is based in Singapore.
- Degree qualified 5+ years of diversified top tier strategy consulting/ “in-house” strategy/ business development experience, preferably within Asian markets.
- Experience in a multinational consumer products business or within spirits industry is highly valuable, but not a must.
- Advanced proficiency in building executive-level presentations in PowerPoint.
- Good intuition with data, analytics and insights, including advanced Excel modeling skills.
- Cross Functional Working – Proven experience in working proactively across multiple functions to deliver total business performance solutions, including senior stakeholders’ interactions.
- Good financial (PL, BS, CF), marketing (channel, consumers, brands, ATL/BTL activity) and business fundamentals knowledge (HR, SCM, Legal, Compliance & tax).
- International background/ experience, with a passion to work in a multicultural environment, and the ability to work across locations and time-zones is desirable.
