What makes this a great opportunity?
The Director, Commercial Customer Engagement is a critical role responsible for driving sales and brand visibility across various channels within the Suntory Global Spirits organization. This role will oversee the development and implementation of effective channel strategies, ensuring optimal execution and maximizing brand impact.
Role Responsibilities
Channel Strategy Development:
- Partner with the APAC markets to develop and implement comprehensive channel strategies, including on- and off-premise channels, to drive sales and brand visibility, aligned to overall business objectives.
- Identify key opportunities for growth and innovation within each channel.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align channel strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide strategic consultation in the context of SGS through utilizing market research, consumer behavior analysis, and sales data to gain deep insights into target audience preferences and purchasing habits.
Execution Excellence:
- In conjunction with markets, co-develop KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success of channel strategy initiatives, analyzing results and making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality execution of commercial programs and initiatives across all channels.
- Develop and implement robust execution standards and guidelines to drive best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of channel programs and make necessary adjustments to optimize results.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including distributors, and wholesalers.
- Collaborate with key customers to develop joint business plans and identify opportunities for growth.
- Proactively address customer needs and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
- Use data to inform decision-making and measure the impact of commercial initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Deep understanding of the beverage alcohol industry and consumer behavior.
- Proven track record in driving sales and brand growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in a global or international organization is preferred.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including data analysis tools.
