Lead the development and growth of Courvoisier Cognac within Greater China by engaging and inspiring local teams to activate with excellence, delivering against key brand strategy - ensuring value, volume, brand building/health and key innovations metrics are delivered timely.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of 3Y growth plan and annual brand plan for China (a priority market), aligned to global ambition and in strong collaboration with Global Brand Team and China Marketing Director
  • Lead portfolio strategy development & execution. Collaborate with Global Brand Team on developing mid-term innovation pipeline, incl. China-specific innovation.
  • Champion channel strategy & pricing strategy development and execution
  • Deliver upon brand performance KPIs: net sales, gross profit, brand health. Adjust brand strategy and activation plan in response to volatile environment
  • Adapt, develop & deploy global creative strategy, including owning communication strategy development for China market, as well as delivery of market-specific assets to build equity in line with the global brand DNA. Ensure activation guideline development for different channels/regions
  • Provide consolidated and structured feedback from markets to global teams on strategic needs and key activity/initiatives
  • Engage with China leadership, global teams to support Supply management of core portfolio and limited editions
  • Drive synergy with Global Travel Retail strategy focused at Chinese travelers
  • Develop and maintain superior relationships with key internal (Commercial, Finance, Legal etc.) and external stakeholders (distributors & agencies) throughout their organizations.
  • Manage internal communications within business, including brand updates and where required attending sales & marketing meetings.
  • Drive advocacy via ensuring on-going education strategy execution & support in conjunction with key brand ambassadors
  • Lead brand investment strategy, ensuring planning, management & close monitoring of annual Brand Investment as per budget. Ensure continuous improvement of Marketing spend effectiveness and efficiency towards the brand objectives.
  • Pro-actively support growth and development of direct (Brand Executive) and cross-functional (Digital Executives, Brand Ambassadors) Courvoisier team members


The candidate to have strong grounding in brand marketing, gained in a leading organisation. The profile is required to lead transformation of one of key pillars of local and global strategies. The ideal candidate will have brand management experience in Luxury/Premium spirits and/or Luxury/ Lifestyle goods with a remit that included China & international markets. The role not only assumes excellent China consumer understand, but also ability to build meaningful relationships, influencing, think out-of-the-box, be grounded in data and empathetic to the needs of distributors and customers.  


  • 6-9 years consumer marketing experience
  • Luxury/Lifestyle or Premium Spirits brand management experience is essential
  • Proven successful performance in a global matrix organization
  • Strategic thinker with ability to turn data analysis into insights and business-driving actions
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Flawless communication skills, ability to influence and inspire
  • Collaborative style of leadership, good listening skills. Culturally sensitive and proven ability to build credibility and excel in an international and cross functional environment.
  • The ability to conceive and develop effective global assets
  • Track record on developing Through the Line communications, from briefing to final execution, partnering with external agencies and influencing internal stakeholders
  • Passion for digital and social marketing. Familiarity with fundamental digital marketing drivers
  • Mature, good adaptability. Strong willingness to learn & hands-on management style
