PURPOSE & SCOPE OF ROLE:

Beam Suntory Global Travel Retail is standing up a Digital Marketing and Social Media role to help establish and manage optimized brand digital ecosystems across our customers and markets with a global scope.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in connecting and amplifying our strategy and operational plans into the digital ecosystem. This role will be instrumental on accelerating our digital presence across Asia with a major focus on China footprint.

The Digital Marketing & Social Media role will be responsible for:

  • Lead and drive the Digital strategy for Global Travel Retail
  • Lead execution for digital activity within Asia – focus on China – partnering with agencies
  • Support execution across rest of footprint through Customer and Brand Marketing teams across different locations
  • If required, the role will lead/support the development market digital assets and adaptations
  • Partner with eMU (eCommerce Marketing Unit), International Marketing and Brand Houses Marketing for any digital related workstreams
  • Act as a consultant to support the digitalization of our customers

 

This role will play an active consult role in annual and ongoing brand/market planning efforts, bringing an expert Digital/Media voice to decision-making.  He/she will need to stay current with digital/media trends and landscape, updating key stakeholders in the channel on shifts in best practices and enabling agility to respond to new opportunities.

 

 

Role Responsibilities

 

OUTCOMES AND SUCCESS CRITERIA:

  • Lead, develop and deploy digital and social media initiatives to tap into a “brand strategy in a digital world”, ensuring Digital is leveraged across various marketing/media tactics
  • Partner with customer marketing, commercial team and customers across the globe on prioritization of focus/spend by media touchpoint, by taking into account channel environment and level of maturity across customers
  • Lead consultation on Search optimization, CRM-driving initiatives, website localization and traffic-optimization as needed
  • Lead Social/Influencer strategy development, engagement expertise and guidance as needed
  • Identify and transfer best practices across the channel
  • Collaborate with 3rd party digital agencies and global teams to develop content/assets as needed
  • Oversee and manage the coordination and adaptation of global assets/content for use, ensuring compliance/alignment with Brand House standards
  • Use systems of analytics and insights to determine effectiveness of Media and Campaigns

 

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Great depth of knowledge/familiarity with and passion for the Digital platform and Social landscape
  • Expertise on Digital platforms, tools, apps in China (i.e. Wechat, Tripurx, JS…). Must have.
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills, to apply across multiple markets and brands
  • Broad knowledge of digital marketing (SEM, Paid Social, Mobile, Display) and CRM (email, push notification, web push and customer segmentation).Organizational / critical thinking skills to recommend and manage through new Digital/Media processes, in response to needs/opportunities of the business
  • Proficient in use of social tools (brandwatch, hootsuite) to measure KPIs and ensure continuous reporting on progress and optimization of customer key initiatives
  • Experience in the area of production and e-Content management
  • Ability to flex in response to evolving business priorities and operate under pressure in a fast-paced business environment
  • Self-starter, flexible, comfortable working in unstructured environment, and able to manage multiple priorities effortlessly.
  • Proactive way of working and ability to work remotely and independently from stakeholders and colleagues in a matrix organization.
  • Agency/outside partner collaboration
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to see through execution specifics to ensure excellence

  • University degree- BS/BA or equivalent
  • Team player who thrives in a high-performing, diverse and inclusive team
  • Prior experience in agency or client leading digital activity (3-5 years)
  • Specific experience on China digital landscape, profiency in required tools
  • Superior Analytical skills
  • ROI and KPIs understanding
  • Outstanding stakeholder management capabilities
