Role Responsibilities
Lead Marketing Strategy and integrate it to the BSK strategy.
- Understand consumers through self-study, field checks and EA supported research.
- Understand SGS Korea business situation and priorities.
- Identify business opportunities based on a deep understanding of the above.
- Select priority brands and develop 10-year strategy; that is aligned with both International Brand House and SGS Korea leadership team.
- Integrate the 10-year strategy into the 5-year BSK plan (Big Rock); that delivers top (NSV) and bottom (OI) targets along with associated market share goals.
- Lead the pricing strategy for all SGS Korea brands.
- Balance developing new ideas and growing proven projects.
- Act as the voice and owner of strategic brand decisions within SGS Korea Korea
Drive excellence in execution.
- Co-develop (with each Marketing manager) and propose an annual 360 marketing plan that is in-line with the local and international long-term growth strategy.
- Co-develop (with trade marketing manager) and propose an annual Trade Marketing plan that is aligned with the Marketing brand strategy and the commercial channel strategy.
- Monitor the evolving market environment, consumers, SGS Korea sales results and brand indicators. Quickly adjust execution plan if needed. Propose strategic change if needed.
- Attend majority Marketing activities and always find ways to improve and grow.
- Active pre & post analysis for all projects above 100 million KRW Share with MD.
- Accumulate learnings from all activities and build a solid insight for future planning.
- Identify and develop agencies that have core competencies relevant to SGS Korea’s needs.
- Maximize the impact of Brand Investment with a holistic company view.
- Must be able to provide quality hands-on support for all Marketing functions.
Develop marketing talents for SGS Korea and international brand houses in collaboration with HR.
Embrace teamwork across internal and external functions.
- Closely align marketing and commercial strategy and execution plans with Commercial.
- Lead BI spending with commercial team.
- Ensure top (NSV) and bottom (OI) growth through close collaboration with finance and operation functions.
- Understand the dynamics and Leverage the influence of international brand house, regional brand house and regional marketing.
- Create synergy with other markets.
Qualifications
- Entrepreneur who has a proven track record of setting their own plan and executing it themselves.
- Proven track record of finding opportunities and leveraging these opportunities through execution.
- Minimum 10 years previous consumer marketing experience working with global brands.
- Minimum 2 years in a senior management role with people management responsibilities.
- Extensive experience in aligning hq and local brand strategy.
- Demonstrated track record of profitable top-line and bottom-line growth.
- Cross Functional Working – Proven experience in working proactively across commercial and operational functions to deliver total business performance solutions (sales/marketing/supply chain).
- English proficiency to debate and present in an international environment.
