HR Generalist
The following position is open in São Paulo, Brazil.
What makes this a great opportunity?
The HR Generalist is the face of HR in Brazil, reporting directly to our Senior HR Director for Germany & Northern Europe and Emerging international Markets, dotted line to People Solutions lead, and working closely with Senior HR Manager RTM Transformation all to support our employees in Brazil and the wider HR team with a strong appreciation and ownership of Country labor requirements.
The role will appeal to someone who is looking for end-to-end local ownership of the employee lifecycle.
Role Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- First point of contact for our employees on the resolution of all HR enquiries
- Provide general HR support such as colleague inquiry resolution and HR general service to employees.
- Manage employee relations topics as they arise, and take appropriate measures to root cause issues and rectify
- Execute and apply people policies, using your independent judgment, based on our values, methods and procedures
- Company representation for all HR matters, interactions with regulatory bodies i.e. reporting, audit, statistics to government
People Solutions
- Taking (co-) ownership of regional HR programs and policies including contracts, benefits, retirement, on-and offboarding, relocation, etc., working closely with subject matter experts and external partners as necessary
- Challenging the status-quo and further improving our HR processes, procedures, and services
- Directly manage employees completing country specific HR administration/programs, ensure new starters are well managed.
- Contract/policy and procedure consultation, interpretation, and administration.
Payroll
- Monthly interactions with GBS to facilitate effective and accurate payroll
General
- Build strong relationships with all employees and People Managers
- Organize Company Townhalls, proof positive, DEI and external employer branding events
- Initiate and present people and culture topics at townhalls, conferences and other key employee touch points
- Develop cultural, wellbeing and engagement initiatives in response to the business needs to ensure we maintain our Great Place to Work certification leveraging Regional and Global assets
- Interpret available data and identify potential interventions to continuously improve the workplace and employee experience.
- Facilitation / training activity as appropriate
- General support of the Senior HR Director and Senior HRM when appropriate
- Health and safety Management
Qualifications & Experience
EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and respective country employment legislation,
- Experience working as an HR Executive or Manager, preferably with experience working independently
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience working with HR Systems - SuccessFactors is preferred
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
- Appreciation of what is takes to be effective in an international Matrix environment
