Tax Manager France  


The following position is open in Île-de-FranceFrance.

  • Support to Senior Tax Manager in delivery of Tax Function support to Beam Suntory
  • Corporate Income Tax Compliance responsibility for France, including local Financial Statements tax provision preparation
  • Tax accounting responsibility for direct taxes in France
  • Responsible for local Transfer Pricing compliance and support to Transfer Pricing Team
  • Ad hoc Project leadership and participation on tax matters
  • Principal contact with Tax Authorities and Beam Suntory’s representative in tax audits
  • External and Internal Tax Audit liaison
  • Responsible for teaming with the business to ensure business initiatives are executed in a tax efficient and tax compliant manner.



Role Responsibilities


  • Responsible for Corporate Income Tax Compliance process including forecasts, payments, cash optimisation and assessments for France
  • Primary Responsibility for Local GAAP and IFRS tax accounting and reporting for France
  • Ensures adequate Transfer Pricing compliance and documentation for France and support to Transfer Pricing Team
  • Continuous Review of the tax position in the assigned countries, to achieve cash tax savings and effective tax rate benefits in a compliant manner
  • Support to the business and project participation and leadership of ad hoc projects/initiatives regarding all tax aspects  
  • Responsible for Tax Authority inspections and develops productive relationships with the Tax Authorities in France
  • Responsible for provision of tax information for France in response to Group Compliance obligations
  • Compliance with all risk management procedures on Income Tax reporting and primary point of contact for Internal and External Tax Audit process

    • Deep technical knowledge in French taxation (primarily Corporate Income Tax)
    • Excellent tax accounting knowledge including IFRS
    • Effective communication skills and negotiation capabilities
    • Excellent analysis skills and rational and critical mindset
    • PC skills - advanced knowledge Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Effective presentation skills


  • Languages
    • Fluent French and English, able to communicate in writing/verbally


  • Mobility
    • The position is based Paris, with occasional travel.



  • Key Organisational Interfaces:
    • Beam Suntory Tax Department
    • EMEA Finance Departments
    • Beam Suntory France leadership team
    • o External: Tax Authorities, Auditors, Advisors and solicitors.




  •   University Degree, preferable in Accounting, Business, Law or Finance
  •   Extensive experience in tax area (minimum 7+ years): general taxation, tax accounting, experience in audits. Indirect taxation experience would be a plus.
