We are seeking a Global Brand Director for the number one global Bourbon brand and the name on the door, Jim Beam, to join our dynamic, progressive team of Marketing professionals in the Global Brand House.

 

The Global Brand Director leads the growth agenda for Jim Beam globally and act as a key support role to the Global Vice President for Jim Beam in the development as well as adoption and adaptation of the Global Brand House strategies and assets. This role will influence how global consumers think about and connect with Jim Beam as an iconic brand that aims to welcome people into Bourbon and will help steer the brand through the next phase of global growth.

With an ambition to accelerate global brand equity and penetration, this leadership role is the key point of contact for our North America markets (#1 region for the brand accounting for 65% of the business) and provides a global market perspective to drive the long-term brand strategy, plans and innovation strategy for Jim Beam across the flagship Jim Beam White range, Flavors, craft expressions and additional formats.

The Global Brand Director will work with stakeholders across the business as well as external agency partners, ensuring consistent brand vision across markets and channels. Additionally, this role is responsible for coaching and developing a team of four global brand marketers.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in the implementation of global brand house international expansion plans in line with the Jim Beam Brand House 12-Year Plan
  • Lead the launch of Jim Beam global brand redesign, a full visual identity transformation and packaging restage across ~1200 SKUs in brand portfolio
  • Support the VP of Jim Beam Brand House to set the long-term, risk-weighted liquid strategy aligned with brand and innovation strategy
  • Support the VP of Jim Beam Brand House to create the financial vision (consistent with brand strategy and regional corporate financial targets)
  • Co-Lead experience planning with Sr Brand Director, International and lead key agency partners
  • Develop brand strategy guidelines, develop guardrails, create brand assets for priority North America & International markets
  • Ensure handoff of strategies to regional / local marketing teams meets customer timeframes and delivers on effectiveness
  • Lead team in the development of brand performance analysis to identify key issues/opportunities, digging deep into the “what, why, and what we do about it” to ensure all primary brand market combinations and identified expansion markets can meet their goals
  • Interfaces with Regions and key Markets to ensure global/regional/local alignment and flawless, on-time delivery of projects in the marketplace.
  • Talent management: inspire, energize and coach team individuals for maximum potential

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 10+ years global brand building experience, including strategic planning, creative development, activation program development, activity planning, market execution
  • Proven track record of project leadership across multiple projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and awareness / ability to operate and develop relationships across a variety of different cultures and markets
  • Ability to perform structured analysis and provide a POV on how to approach challenges
  • A good balance of strategic, analytical and creative skills
  • Understands key commercial, financial and brand building performance metrics and the levers to pull to influence desired goals
  • Deep understanding of consumer culture, global trends, and creative value creation
  • Passionate people developer with proven track record of bolstering team performance and engagement

Preferred

  • Experience in the alcoholic beverages industry
