Off-Premise Channel Manager - Minnesota Outstate

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage our distributor partners to achieve our Financial and Execution goals (NSV, DGP, KPI’s).
  • Actively manage the presentation and execution of category plans, brand plans, promotions and new item introductions ensuring compliance with Brand Standards.
  • Develop new volume in these focus areas: Independent Outstate Market, Large Format Liquor chains, and On Premise Outstate Must Win Resorts, Restaurants, Bars and Festivals.
  • Set goals with distributors to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual off-premise targets.  Work with distributor’s sales force to monitor progress and ensure goals are achieved, within the Beam Suntory distributor management processes.
  • Effectively manage off-premise broad market with responsibility for expanding distribution/volume on priority brands/sizes.  Successfully launch all new products off-premise achieving volume and distributions KPI’s as established by State Manager and Manager of Channel Sales, Off Premise.
  • Monitor distributors execution weekly/monthly and address all shortfalls when they occur with corrective actions plans.
  • Successfully execute all off-premise and on-premise events and recap for insights and learnings.
  • Participate in monthly reviews with Manager of Channel Sales, Off Premise to identify any issues/concerns that can be improved upon with future programs and to collaborate with other Off Premise Channel Managers to build best practices.
  • Conduct quarterly sales blitz’s with distributors focusing on key holiday’s that align to our weeks to win strategy.
  • Present at monthly GSM’s and offer sales training and communication to distributor sales force in areas of brand trend awareness and sales technique.
  • Ensure all efforts and sales involvement are in compliance with State and Federal laws.
  • Manage sales expenses and inventory and manage Beam Suntory off-premise POS with distributors.
  • Conduct regular work-withs or account visits with distributor personnel 


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred remote location based in Northern Minnesota.
  • Experience managing people a plus
  • Previous Off Premise spirits industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years consumer products sales experience
  • MS Office Suite
  • Experience working with Food and Beverage Distributors preferred
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Up to 50% Travel
  • Licensed driver of motor vehicles
