  • The HR Manager will be based out of Mumbai & will play a key role in partnering with the Sales Director - West/East/CSD in the achievement of India strategic growth objectives for the respective regions and in delivery of other major business goals through the delivery of strategic HR solutions. Design & implement solutions aimed at creating and sustaining a skilled, engaged and high performing employee base. The role will be responsible for the effective execution of the annual Performance cycle, Talent reviews & processes, Org design reviews, partnering with Program manager for HR budgeting & Strategic Workforce Planning, partnering to drive L&D, Diversity & Inclusion, Engagement etc. for the respective regions. In addition, the incumbent will be supporting some of the HR PMO activities for the team & HR Director.


Role Responsibilities

  • Delivering on Sunrise growth ambitions for the respective regions. Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy for the respective regions based on the strategic Workforce Plan (embracing employee relations; reward and recognition; remuneration and benefits; learning and development; performance management, talent planning, recruitment and selection) that will, through effective application of HR practices, assist to motivate and inspire employees to work towards achieving their individual and corporate goals
  • Roll out HR initiatives and programs for the assigned client groups in India (East, West & CSD teams), including global HR initiatives and processes (e.g. performance, merit, engagement, etc.)
  • Builds strong relationships with internal leaders and other team members with a focus on business partnering
  • Collaborate with others in HR Team (such as Talent Acquisition, COEs, HR Ops) to ensure HR service is delivered locally with quality consistently
  • Coach managers and employees on HR policies, processes and ways of working, recommending solutions aligned to HR strategic direction
  • Champion the development of a high-performance culture across their respective markets and make effective use of culture-building tools such Global One Suntory Program, engagement surveys and workshops 
  • Partner with sales leaders to drive talent reviews /succession plan agenda for the region.
  • Partner with L&D Lead and line managers to support capability building for the assigned client base.
  • Partner with TA team for strategy setting, interviewing, and maintaining overall hiring timeliness & effectiveness. Manage the candidate experience to ensure all candidates are treated with integrity and enthusiasm from initial contact through final disposition.
  • Accurately and positively represent the culture and values of the organization, cultural fit for all newly acquired talent is critical. Support towards smooth onboarding of new joiners.
  • Support towards achieving our diversity & inclusion agenda through sensitization sessions, benefits & movements.
  • Collaborate with HRD India and APAC Reward Director to support the review remuneration and benefit practices and make recommendations to regional and global management on changes needed to ensure ongoing market competitiveness and retention of key staff.   
  • Act as an employee advocate providing counselling and or coaching to employees and assist them to resolve issues through strong grievance or conflict management skills
  • Guiding, engaging & developing junior HR team member to enable cohesive collaborative HR team.


Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA degree in Human Resource
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • 8+ years’ experience in an HR Generalist/Manager position
  • Good understanding of labor laws & compliances
  • Experience in the FMCG or alco bev sector highly desirable
  • Experience working with a variety of managers/leaders including senior management  
  • Preference for ambiguous environments where to innovate and strive. Not afraid of coming out from his/her comfort circle. Out of the box thinking is rewarded. Continuous improvement mindset with ability to put in place action plans to challenge status quo  
  • Highly customer centric & quality orientation: Demonstrates high level of customer centricity & problem-solving skills.  Contiguously meets quality standards for services, and evaluates opportunities for taking employee experience to next level
  • Communication and Presentation / Facilitation Skills (verbal & written): Effectively & proactively transfers thoughts and expresses ideas orally or verbally in individual or group situations. Ability to work with others in a virtual team environment
  • Ability to plan own work and be independent in implementation but at same time work collaboratively & inclusively to take stakeholders along
  • Change management experience
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment & with Global teams & a great team player
  • Success Factors experience is a plus
