e-Commerce Manager, International

Your role: owning and managing the Digital Commerce relationship, from traffic generation to conversion, from e-content ideation to post-activation analysis, from product launch to supply chain optimization, and so forth... The e-Commerce Manager's mission is to:

  • Act as the ‘business owner’ for assigned e-commerce retailers, possessing a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the business, along with responsibility for driving projects and promotions to achieve business objectives)
  • Lead the incubation of disruptive e-Commerce distribution agreements in the areas of Direct to Consumer, and Online Marketplaces. This includes cross-functional coordination of such projects with Brand Management,  Legal, Controlling, Revenue Management, Finance, Global IT, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and all International Marketing functions.
  • Manage dedicated day-to day retailer relationships with e-commerce retailers such as Amazon. Develop a thorough understanding of the spirits online retail industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments.
  • Collaborate with retailer team to ensure high quality listings, continuous availability and activation.
  • Prepare joint business planning meetings with retailers and drive joint initiatives to meet/exceed goals.
  • Forecast near and mid-term sales across our large portfolio of brands to ensure availability.
  • Engage with Customer Service to inform buyers about product availability and delivery timings.
  • Collaborate with other functions internally to mutually grow the business with online retailers such as Amazon. Analyze operational metrics and sales KPIs to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to develop optimal fulfillment processes for the customer.
  • Maintain close connection with international e-Commerce teams to share best practices & influence future growth strategy.

Desired Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ work experience, of which 3+ years in retail sales, operations, product or program management, and/or business management/consulting with a proven track record of negotiations and delivering results
  •  Advanced experience with Excel, or other analytical/Business Intelligence tools
  • Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating
  • A willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done - Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Professional proficiency in English and ideally German

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to deliver simultaneously and effectively at the strategic, tactical and operational levels.
  • Intrapreneur” mindset: thinking and acting like an entrepreneur, while respecting the sometimes complex cross-functional requirements of a multinational group of companies.
  • Familiarity with retail negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
  • Experience launching a new country, or working in a start-up or early stage environment where you had to define best practice for your function
