Sr. Manager - Intl Digital Marketing & Media Excellence

What makes this a great opportunity?

 

The International Marketing team is standing up a Digital Marketing group to help establish and manage optimized brand digital ecosystems across each of our markets in the International region.  This team will play a pivotal role in connecting the strategies and assets of BSI’s global Brand Houses with the needs and opportunities of the markets and channels – and in particular, working closely with our new eCommerce channel team to support expansion of BSI’s eBusiness.  The team will also be counted on to extend global Digital Marketing best practices to the region and to key markets to support critical digital strategies and ensure excellence in execution.  

 

Beyond its focus on Digital Marketing, this team will also extend its expertise more broadly over time to include consumer/trade touchpoint strategy.  The team will establish, align, and deploy best practice frameworks and guidance around touchpoint prioritization, while also supporting markets’ media agency relationships and media strategy development to best deliver against brand/market strategies.

 

The Digital Marketing & Media Excellence Sr. Manager role, specifically, will play a critical leadership role in setting up the team, capabilities, and processes necessary for the success of Digital Marketing and Media within the region.  The Sr. Manager will be expected to partner closely with: 
• Global Digital Marketing – to ensure alignment and pull through of global best practices
• Global Brand Houses – to enable distribution and adaptation of global assets for local use
• Priority Markets – to support touchpoint prioritization, media strategy, and digital ecosystem plans through application of best practices
• All Other International Markets – to support touchpoint prioritization, digital ecosystem plans, distribution of global assets, and development of localized assets and assets for Regional Brands as needed
• eCommerce Marketing Unit – to support customer-specific content needs and ensure join-up with digital ecosystem strategies
• Off-Trade/On-Trade Region Commercial Marketing and Advocacy Team – to support channel strategies through digital ecosystem extensions

 

This role will play an active consult role in annual and ongoing brand/market planning efforts, bringing an expert Digital/Media voice to decision-making.  He/she will need to stay current with digital/media trends and landscape, updating key stakeholders in the region on shifts in best practices and enabling agility to respond to new opportunities.  The position will also oversee project work aimed at supporting and executing digital plans in market, and will be responsible for helping upskill Digital/Media capabilities in the region.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

• Work closely and collaboratively with International Brand House leads and local market teams to develop and support optimal digital plans/ecosystems
• Adapt and deploy ecosystem framework for markets to tap into a “brand strategy in a digital world”, ensuring Digital is leveraged across various marketing/media tactics
• Work with Global Digital Marketing team to align on best practices and oversee development/work against regional e-content, website localization, CRM, Search/traffic-optimization, and Social/influencer engagement
• Drive media efficiencies in the region through establishment of agency/media frameworks and playbooks, supporting markets’ media plans and agency relationships
• Establish strong working relationships with International eCommerce teams to facilitate the effective join-up of eCommerce and digital consumer ecosystem tactics
• Coordinate virtual team of experts in the market in accordance with evolving BSI Digital/eCommerce vision and in response to needs/opportunities of markets and channels
• Provide education and act as subject expert for region Off/On-Trade and Advocacy teams to understand digital needs
• Manage digital asset budget; Identify and develop brand-focused digital asset needs, including new & modified global brand assets for non-resourced markets as well as regional brand assets
• Coordinate with Internal Comms team to align on any external messaging re Beam Suntory's Digital/Social participation and guardrails. 
• Lead and oversee regionally relevant CRM programs
• Establish systems of analytics and insights on the usage and effectiveness of media and campaigns
 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
•    Great depth of knowledge/familiarity with and passion for the Digital platform and media landscape
•    Understanding of broader media strategy discipline, including touchpoint mix/prioritization, buying efficiency, effectiveness in execution, and agency relationships
•    Broad knowledge of digital marketing (SEM, Paid Social, Mobile, Display), offline marketing (TV & OOH) and CRM (email, push notification, web push and customer segmentation).Organizational / critical thinking skills to recommend and manage through new Digital/Media processes, in response to needs/opportunities of the business
•    Expert in use of social tools (brandwatch, hootsuite) to establish and measure KPIs and ensure continuous reporting on progress and optimization of regional key initiatives
•    Experience in the area of production and e-Content management
•    Hands-on and takes ownership, ability to flex in response to evolving business priorities and operate under pressure in a fast-paced business environment
•    Self-starter, comfortable working in unstructured environment and conflict resolution, able to manage multiple priorities effortlessly
•    Proactive way of working and ability to work remotely and independently from stakeholders and colleagues in a matrix organization.
•    Agency/outside partner management
•    Outstanding process management and development skills.

•    External:  Digital Agencies, Media Agencies, Digital Data/Tech 3rd Party Vendors

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
•    8+ years in AlcBev/FMCG Marketing or Food/Drink Digital roles
•    Experience developing Brand Digital Strategies and tie to eCommerce strategy
•    Expertise in Digital plan best practices – Search, Social, Website, Content / Asset optimization
•    Ideally experience with Media Mix Planning/Buying
•    Experience leading and influencing cross-functional team initiatives
•    Experience developing and implementing new organizational process and ways-of-working
