The opportunity to act as a Business Partner for the market to advise potential implications from decisions made from Accounting/Controls perspectives.
Role Responsibilities
- Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, and provide support in the financial reporting process in compliance with the Suntory Global Spirit policy, IFRS and different regulatory requirements in each country as well as periodic management information requirements from Corporate so as to ensure adherence to established deadlines
- Review specified elements of the financial statements including critical, sensitive and judgmental areas, balance sheet forecasts, monthly general ledger account reconciliations, and quality of earnings analysis
- Develop in-depth analysis with insightful narrative on financial areas of business finance / Balance Sheet/ Cash Flow for reporting BUs in International region.
- Provide support to countries/markets within region to ensure appropriate controls in place in the processes, and accounting procedures are effectively implemented in compliance with company policy and process
- Act as Business Partnering role for Global Travel Retail BU in providing advice on accounting implications of business operations, reviewing of A&P accrual, and ensuring processes with strong control
- Participate in the development of training & communication materials, including conducting training, to bring consistency across the International region
- Support Regional and Corporate projects as required
Qualifications
- At least 8-12 years of Finance experience
- Audit Experience in Big 4 will be a significant advantage
- University degree in Business Administration, Accountancy or equivalent
- Broad practical experiences in Financial Management
- Presentation experience (including preparation and delivery)
- Strong analytical skills to provide insight of the businesses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in an international environment
- Business fluent in English
- SAP R3 FI, BW/EDW experiences
- Ability to work independently under pressure, comfortable with a fast-paced, change environment, result-oriented, paying careful attention to details
