Beam Suntory currently has the following position open in Madrid, Spain – Senior Manager IT- Sales Excellence & Trade Promotions Management (TPM)


Role Responsibilities



The Sr. Manager IT – Sales Excellence & Trade Promotions Management (TPM) must be a leader, that is self-driven, has a strong understanding of business process, have an analytical mind and good executive presence. The role will be part of the IT Sales and Marketing team and report to the Director IT – Global Sales.  This key role within Information Technology will act as the Solution Owner for Sales Excellence and TPM.  This role requires a strong understanding of the Consumer Goods vertical, including Key Account Management, Trade Promotion Management, Retail Execution and Analytics. The candidate should have experience working with Sr. Business and IT Leaders, Process Documentation, Project Management/Execution, and hands-on experience with Salesforce.com and SAP. This role will partner with the Commercial Leaders and cross-functional teams to help transform the strategy into business outcomes.  They will help develop and implement key strategies, document existing and new processes, implement tools, establish support processes, drive user adoption, and install governance across the regions/key markets.  This role is critical in the strategic direction of Sales Excellence and TPM.

Ways You Will Make a Difference

Business Partnership

  • Work directly with Senior Leaders within Sales and Commercial areas to develop the business technology strategy that matches BSI’s business objectives and growth strategies.
  • Provide ongoing user support and advocacy for evolving and enhancing roadmap development of newly defined tools to drive best practice business processes.
  • Partner with multiple groups within IT and business to identify opportunities for data, process or adoption opportunities and provide technology support for sales planning, promotion planning, revenue growth, and improved financial returns on trade promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Build a partnership and relationship that adds value to the business through proactive management of enabling technologies.
  • Develop recommendations, solution concepts and business cases for new investments.
  • Provide governance structure and guidance to Business and IT Leaders
  • Drive process for change management activities to support best practice within Sales Planning and Commercial Finance.
  • Assess risk in business areas not adequately supported by technology.


Project Leadership & Solution Design and Delivery

  • Provide Project Management and oversight of different work streams within the Sales Excellence and Trade Promotion/Revenue Growth areas.
  • Effectively communicate results and status of projects during various stages of their life cycle.
  • Clearly communicate risks, issues and action plans to both Business and IT leadership.
  • Ensure that the teams are in place (both internal and external) to deliver technology-based solutions.
  • Provide consultation and act as a SME for process and technologies during all phases of the development of solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional testing and training.
  • Work closely with internal IT resources and external service providers to analyze, identify and deliver solutions on time and on budget.
  • Provide support to management regarding strategy and roadmap planning.


Qualifications & Experience

Competencies/Skills/Knowledge Required

  • Language: Multi-lingual, must be fluent in English and Spanish (written/spoken)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or similar degree; MBA preferred
  • Functional knowledge of processes across Sales, Account Management, Trade Promotion Management/Optimization, Retail Execution, Finance/Revenue Growth Management and Planning.
  • Experience working with TPM Software, Salesforce.com, SAP, Sales Execution tools and Business Intelligence tools
  • Proficient in integration of internal/external software, data flows and analytic platforms.
  • 10+ years’ experience working in consumer goods, sales excellence and trade promotion management
  • Knowledge and experience of highly regulated industries (Alc Bev, Tobacco, Pharma) is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrable business analysis and analytics experience.
