Senior Analyst - Strategic Analytics

Role Responsibilities

This position will be a key member of the strategic analytics team within Beam Suntory’s Global Brands & Strategy Finance Organization. This team works with the brand house marketing and sales leadership team to ensure Beam achieves strategic and financial objectives.  This role provides decision support based on business acumen and advanced analytics. The team also leads the organization’s Analytics Center of Excellence, providing predictive modeling and advanced consumer insights.



  • Build understanding and confidence in modeled and predictive analytics
  • Create new and innovative approaches to pricing, promotion, marketing, and assortment insights
  • Provide ongoing recommendations and analysis to improve the organization’s top and bottom lines



Qualifications & Experience

Education- Bachelors in Finance, Statistics, or related field. Master’s preferred.

Certifications/Licensure- N/A

Years of experience- 2 years of experience in Finance, Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field necessary. 3+ years preferred.

Level of experience- Analyst-level experience

Industry experience- None necessary. CPG consulting (Nielsen, IRI, or similar company) or manufacturer experience preferred.

Travel %- 10%



  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (candidate will develop and maintain key working relationships within the organization that cross over finance, strategy, and marketing)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills required - ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data
  • Ability to conceptualize and think creatively 
  • Team player who is flexible and adaptable in their approach
  • Knowledge of at least one statistical software language (SAS, R, Python)
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple stage projects to their completion
  • Self starter, curiosity, desire and ability to think beyond surface level, dive deeper into analysis and data
  • Specific experience in the spirits business would be a plus, as would exposure to price elasticity, marketing mix modeling, and forecasting modeling
