Reports to:   Finance Business Partner, Travel Retail

Role Responsibilities

Position Mission

The primary purpose of the role is to business partner the Key Account Directors and Key Account Managers, supporting the Finance Business Partner to deliver the P&L for Global Accounts Travel Retail. This role covers 4 Global Retailers with over 70 negotiation points across different channels, locations and time zones.

The role also requires collaboration with other teams to in process improvement and initiatives for implementation of strategies. Examples are Global S&OP and Revenue management tools and strategies.

Responsibilities:

Business Planning and Reporting

  • Support the Budget, Forecast and Strategic Plan in line with planning cycles and deadlines
  • Deliver monthly financial forecast with close coordination with other teams such as demand planning and marketing finance.
  • Monitor P&L by channel/ market/brand performance and provide insights on business and financial improvement opportunities
  • Analyse variances vs Budget/FC and evaluate R&Os through S&OP
  • Monthly journal entry preparation for Price Support accruals. Ensure timely and accurate recognition of accruals

 

Business Partnering

  • Partnering Key Account Directors and Key Account Managers to understand impact of commercial decisions
  • Close working relationship with Finance Business partner to ensure underlying drivers of performance including risks and opportunities are clear and actioned

 

Others- Support to Commercial Excellence

  • Support annual pricing review exercise and pricing benchmarking
  • Where applicable, support business cases such as geo-expansions and ROI analysis.

 

Process Improvements

  • Challenge and drive improvements in current processes, S&OP, forecasting, control and compliance.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualified with finance or accounting qualification and relevant industry (e.g. FMCG) experience
  • Experienced in writing succinct and insightful business performance reports, and summarizing business analysis
  • Strong in building financial models
  • Cross Functional Working – proven experience in working proactively across commercial functions to deliver total business performance solutions
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management – demonstrated experience in influencing and managing multiple stakeholders across geographies, building mutually beneficial, profit-focused business relationships
