On Premise Channel Manager- West Los Angeles  

 

Mission

​​​​​​The purpose of this role is to work with our distributor partners, key accounts, field marketing and CFT team to instill effective and sustainable sales strategies that ensure the health and grow of the Beam Suntory portfolio.  The person in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Within assigned WEST Los Angeles territory, aligned w 4 SGWS teams, 2 RVPs, Hotel and Artisanal teams- actively oversee the presentation and execution of KPIs, category plans, brand plans, promotions and new item introductions ensuring compliance with Brand Standards always.
  • Manage relationships and business with distributor to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets.  Work with distributor sales force to monitor progress and ensure goals are achieved, within the Beam Suntory distributor management processes.
  • Successfully launch all new products on-premise achieving volume and distributions KPIs as set out by corporate management.
  • Participate in regular review meetings with Distributor Management and counterparts, including monthly planning/review meeting and territory-specific quarterly business reviews. Track progress to volume, distribution and qualitative goals, identify areas of opportunity, address any business concerns and review key marketing programs for assigned territory.
  • Monitor distributor execution weekly and address all shortfalls when they occur with corrective actions plans.
  • Successfully execute all on-premise events and use division or company sponsored tracking and execution recaps as provided.
  • Provide monthly program recaps and identify any issues/concerns that can be improved upon with future programs.
  • Provide monthly success decks calling out the key wins in the accounts responsible for that align with our programming.
  • Provide monthly sales training and communication to distributor sales force in areas of brand trend awareness and sales technique.
  • Ensure all efforts and sales involvement is in strict compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Manage all sales expenses and inventory and manage all Beam Suntory POS with distributors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on contacts made, new placements secured, follow-up points, and direction.  Keep abreast of all laws, regulations and policies that govern market.  Keep management aware of all information pertaining to area of responsibility
  • Train and educate the trade and consumers about Beam Suntory’s products

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Distributor management experience strongly preferred
  • Spirits industry experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of distribution, promotion, pricing and selling techniques
  • Sales experience, including experience selling marketing programs
  • Budget management
  • Ability to translate insights into structured presentations that highlight key takeaways
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Public speaking/presentation skills
