Liquid Quality Supervisor  

 

The following position is open in Loretto KentuckyUnited States.This position will be based at the distillery which is approximately 20 miles south of Bardstown, KY.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support product quality and routine technical analysis of scientific equipment and inspections in support of plant operations
  • Ensure quality procedures, work instructions and associated documents are properly developed, reviewed, implemented, and updated to drive continuous improvement
  • Looking for new innovated laboratory equipment to continuously improve lab methods
  • Manage technical staff to achieve product conformity
  • Promote, facilitate, and support production, quality initiatives and continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • Support in liquid projects and continually looking for new liquid projects
  • Manage the maturation process and new formulation testing
  • Integrate product and finished liquid quality and specifications, including validation and verification activities
  • Ensure compliance to all Corporate/Suntory requirements are met and systems/programs are implemented correctly and in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and keep abreast of all relevant governmental regulations
  • Act as lead Quality representative of plant lean program
  • Supports and adhere to the job requirements for the department with regards to Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and fully support the company IMS objectives and initiatives
  • Other duties as indicated

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • ISO 9001, 22000 Certification experience
  • Understand technical literature
  • Communicate both written and orally with people management inside and outside the organization
  • Basic computer software skills
  • Upwards communication
  • Bachelors Degree in Science, Quality Management or qualifying work experience
  • Team oriented
  • Highly organized, with ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Wells well independently and with little supervision
  • Self-starting and accurate
  • Food Safety/HACCP work experience
  • Experience in bottle or food processing
  • Quality management audit experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power Point, Lotus Notes, Internet
  • Lean and Six Sigma
  • Certified TTB Chemist
  • Experience with HPCL, GC, GCMS and FT-NIR
