Electrical & Controls Coordinator  

 

The following position is open in Loretto KentuckyUnited StatesThis position will be based at the Maker’s Mark distillery which is approximately 20 miles south of Bardstown, KY

Responsible for coordinating and performing controls and electrical related upgrade, repairs training as well as leading controls related portions of capital projects at Maker’s Mark. Flexible and responsible to lead continuous improvement controls projects in Bottling, Processing, Distillery, WWTP and Warehouse operations. Must be engaged with the campus and in delivery of services on time, within performance budget while meeting quality expectations. Extensive experience with controls projects is a must with demonstrated ability in continuous improvement of control applications for increased safety and efficiencies across the campus.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide controls and electrical support to all areas of the Maker’s Mark facility
  • Assume a leadership or support role where appropriate in electrical and controls related projects
  • Training and mentoring of maintenance technicians in the area of controls and electrical system maintenance and repair and projects
  • Assume a leadership or support role where appropriate in electrical safety efforts such as arc flash safety and lockout tagout programs
  • Proactively identify and implement safety, cost saving and efficiency improvements as they relate to controls and electrical systems
  • Develop and maintain controls and electrical related documentation library
  • Supports and adhere to the job requirements for the department with regards to Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and fully support the company IMS objectives and initiatives
  • Other duties as indicated

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in controls related field
  • Strong skills and experience with Rockwell controls platforms
  • Strong ability to train and mentor maintenance professionals in controls related discipline
  • Deliver controls support safely, meeting quality requirements, on time and in budget
  • Deliver continuous improvement in Safety and Quality, by delivering controls support that protect out team members and our brand
  • Ability to adapt across all operation functions to deliver a variety of value-added projects on the campus
  • Positive leadership presence and collaborator on direct team and across all campus functions
  • Strong attention to detail in delivering controls related projects process and cashflow timing on assigned projects
  • Bachelor’s or associated degree or certificate in electrical controls related subject matter
  • Proficient in the use of most Microsoft Office products
  • Distilled spirits industry experience
  • Bottling or food packaging experience
  • ISO 9000 or other related QSM experience
  • HACCP or GMP experience
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) experience is highly preferred
