Responsible for managing the Territory of West Missouri which includes working closely with both a semi-dedicated distributor sales team in Large Format Liquor and Food & Drug stores, as well as working with the rest of the distributor at large covering all other On & Off Premise accounts throughout your part of the state, plus National Account and Corporate Sponsorship integration.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure End to End Execution of our Commercial Responsibility (NSV/DGP) by working with the appropriate internal BSI teams, as well as external wholesaler personnel amongst many levels of employ, to develop new sales and profit opportunities and/or sustain current strategies across our entire portfolio that meet or exceed our monthly, quarterly, mid-year, and annual goals in the dedicated area of West Missouri: Kansas City Region, and MidMo South Region, including Springfield and Branson.
  • Actively assert Commercial Acumen by managing the presentation of, and monitoring the progress toward, all pertinent category and brand plan targets, to ensure compliance with BSI Commercial and Marketing standards at all times.
  • Inspire and Enable the Customer and Consumer by leading the cost-effective acquisition of, and be an executional champion for “in-market” implementation of, any and all applicable Point of Sale materials to align with our National and local marketing promotions.
  • Craft Integrated Partnerships with our top On-premise & Off-premise accounts with the sole responsibility for Building our Iconic Brands, Accelerating our Super-premiums, Seeding our Future Growth prospects, and Winning with Power Brands to drive volume, profit, and KPIs (distributions, shelf sets, displays, and menus) across all sizes and types offered in the marketplace. 
  • Successfully leverage Demand Creation to launch all new products, both Innovation and line extensions, but also exude Demand Creation at required special events in the On-premise and Off-premise and capture your execution of all these in a recap format to highlight the successes.
  • Be an active participant with distributor personnel via a target of four monthly, full day work-withs, when permissible, as well as conduct quarterly blitzes to cover all the territory geography.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on contacts made, new placements secured, follow-up points, and further action needed at key accounts. 
  • Keep abreast of all laws, regulations and policies that govern the market, and ensure all efforts and sales involvement is in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Manage all sales expenses to stay at or under budgets assigned, as well as manage all company assets as provided, including but not limited to: storage unit, sample product, raffle items, etc.
  • Keep management aware of any potential or realized infractions pertaining to your area of responsibility.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five years consumer products sales experience minimum
  • Both Off-premise and On-premise spirits industry experience preferred
  • Proven history of successful team management is beneficial
  • Familiarity with the current St. Louis marketplace is a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of distribution, promotion and selling techniques is favored.
  • Applicable experience selling localized promotions and National marketing programs is an asset.
  • MS Office Suite
  • Licensed driver of motor vehicles 
  • Up to 25% Travel
