IT Supplier Governance Process Manager  

 

Mission

The IT Supplier Relationship and Performance Analyst will provide consistent vendor management policies and procedures across IT managers and vendors

Outcomes/Success Criteria (Insert 3-5 specific and measurable indicators of success for this role.  How will the candidate know they are successful?  Ensure the outcomes are candidate-centric.)

-Vendor governance processes including performance management, financial management, contract management and relationship management are measured against success criteria to demonstrate increasing adoption and proficiency.

-Governance committee meetings are effective in aiding decision making, resolving issues and deepening relationships with providers.

-Tools and templates are leveraged to support Vendor Management Office processes within the IT, Finance and Procurement organizations.

-Governance Action Items are closed in a timely fashion. Remediation items are resolved or mitigated within target timelines.

- Vendor governance trackers are maintained according to the Vendor Management Office methodology. Discrepancies are addressed and resolved with vendors.

- Opportunities for improvement of the Vendor Management Office are identified and when assigned, implemented on time to stakeholders.

-Stakeholders are identified, trained and engaged in Vendor Management Office processes.

-Value is realized from vendor relationships.

 

Job Responsibilities: (WHAT are the specific job duties and tasks that correspond with the quantifiable targets?  These individual tasks can be completed on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis.  The statements should begin with an action verb (i.e. prepare x, coordinate x, analyze x).

 

  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to understand IT strategic objectives as they relate to third parties.
  • Build relationships with IT service providers to understand their environment and achieve best results.
  • Drive agendas and lead executive and operational governance meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resolve escalated issues and escalate significant issues to Sr. Leadership and vendor.
  • Define integrated operational processes for IT Service Provider oversight, incorporating the objectives of cross functional stakeholders in Finance, Compliance, Legal and Procurement.
  • Oversee performance of suppliers in the IT Services category, driving business priorities through vendor oversight.
  • Establish supplier performance measures and drive supplier performance aligned to strategic objectives of the relationship.
  • Refine existing processes for action item management and issue resolution.
  • Plan and perform site visits to delivery centers.
  • Negotiate terms in contracts according to industry and company standards.
  • Onboard existing IT suppliers into governance processes.
  • Mentor other team members in problem solving, conflict resolution and persuasion skills.
  • Document and train internal and external stakeholders in operational processes of supplier governance.
  • Provide in-depth coaching to vendors on company’s standard operating procedures; meet with vendors to provide/receive feedback, discuss concerns and set goals.

Desired Qualifications

Education- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Technology; MBA preferred

Certifications/Licensure- ITIL Certification preferred

Years of experience- 10 years in similar role

Level of experience-

Industry experience- CPG or Financial Services preferred

Travel %- 10%

 

Additional qualifications desired:  Critical thinking with ability to see the big picture and influence others to work toward long-term results. Strong Communication, conflict resolution and problem solving skills; Proven experience collaborating across functional areas in order to achieve objectives; Experience managing people (employees or contractors) and managing projects; ITIL or ITSM experience; Negotiation; Experience planning and conducting vendor site visits; experience in IT Audit or Vendor Risk Management or Third Party Risk Management; Experience with a Vendor Governance Tool such as Sirion, GovernX or Enlighta;
