Role Mission

This position will be a key contributor as an IT Engineer on the Digital Platforms team, specifically responsible for Google Cloud Platform services serving our Revenue Growth Management (RGM) agenda.  The primary focus of this role is delivering against implementation and support of GCP services in our RGM Technical Stack.

Role Responsibility

• Design, delivery, and implementation of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and solutions.
• Collaborate with cloud partners and other internal groups to assess supporting new technologies and specific use cases.
• Define and implement cutting-edge, scalable, high-performance solutions (such as advanced analytics, open source, enterprise collaboration, microservices, serverless and AI/ML) that satisfy the requirements of today’s corporate and emerging digital applications using Google Cloud Platform public cloud technologies.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services, 3rd party database platforms (i.e., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.), Kubernetes, IaC, etc.
• Partner with business owners to articulate and deliver against agenda / roadmap, such as participating and/or leading project delivery of global solutions (ideation, blueprinting, implementation, and operationalization). 
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills coupled with ability to communicate (oral/written) to both horizontal and vertical audiences.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience: 5+ years of experience building and engineering Google Cloud Platform solutions in large-scale environments.  Significant and demonstrable track record of experience on one or more of the following areas:

• Experience in Cloud platforms, Hyperscalers, Cost estimations, network architecture, security, communication between On-Premises and Cloud, migrations, enablement of applications and services, etc.
• Infrastructure, servers, systems, applications, and user experience, SSO, SAML, MFA, administration, backup/restore, upgrade / update, Assess and fi security vulnerabilities, etc.  
• Databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL, etc.  Kubernetes experience leveraging GKE, Ingress Controllers, etc.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform Define private repositories, branches, security, users’ management, etc.

Technical: Extensive hands-on experience of one or more from each of the following Technology / Platform areas:

• GCP IAM, Storage, VMs, Network, backup / restore, CDN, Security, Web Services, Repositories, etc.
• Expertise in network components such as VPC, peering, router, load balancer, external and internal Ips allocations, CIDRs, Subnets, Shared VPC, serverless VPC, Firewall rules and policies, egress/ingress, etc.
• Experience in VM types, evaluate appropriate VMs based on requirement, cost optimizations, zone level, region level VMs and enablement of communication with strengthen security, firewall, backups/restore, IP and port level restrictions, startup scripts, etc.
• Experience in user provisioning, permissions, groups, SSH keys, 2FA, etc.
• Experience in all types of storage, snapshots, buckets, zonal and regional specific, NFS, etc.
• Experience in cloud transformation, protect apps from bots and web attacks, digital sovereignty, address vulnerabilities proactively, investigate threats and respond faster, grant secure access to systems, applications, data, and resources, etc.
• Proficient in Git and Bash
• Experience with automation technologies like Terraform, Helm, gcloud etc.
• Expertise in cloud orchestration and monitoring technology.
• Proven expertise throughout the full stack in troubleshooting and debugging web apps (i.e., the application layer, the database layer, the network layer, the OS)
• Expertise developing SAML integrations to facilitate SSO-based authentication & TLS.
• Strong operational experience with effective problem-solving expertise

Project / Delivery: Significant + demonstrable project-based / leadership experiences from ideation through go-live/warranty, including but not limited to:

• Discovery/Design: Significant career experiences architecting end-to-end solutions, including business problem definition; RFI/RFQ/RFP; developing business cases; contracts/negotiations; solution design/process flows; wireframing; architecture; integration; etc.
• Implementation: One or more large-scale project implementations of Digital Platform solutions comprised of cross-functional, global teams.  Experience working in Agile/Waterfall environments, using SDLC tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, etc.
• Communication: Demonstrable career experience assembling and presenting slidedeck presentations to both horizontal and vertical audiences in a large, global organization comprised of multi-national stakeholders.
• Operationalization/Support: Experience transitioning solutions from delivery to support, including knowledge transfer, cross-training, etc.

Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, etc. or equivalent

Travel: Ability to travel 10%

Desired:

• Hands-on exposure to key Enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Anaplan, etc.
• Experience with other technologies such as Analytics (PowerBI, Tableau, SAP SAC, and SAP Datasphere), Containers, DevOps Tools, ETL, etc. a plus.
• Software engineering experience using python, java, .NET, or other
