The Category Development and Insights Analyst will support in identifying long-term Category growth strategies across all key global geographies by understanding the consumer/shopper and political/economic factors influencing global travel retail.

This role will work closely with commercial and marketing teams, providing the necessary data and analysis to identifying opportunities that satisfy both the needs of the business and the customer.

They will be a true team player and demonstrate a deep understanding of the different drinking behaviors in key markets: which are the key categories and price segments to win in. They will also pride themselves on building best in class relationships with key internal departments including marketing, insights, and commercial teams.

Role Responsibilities

  • Be the GTR data expert for the channel by being proficient using data sources like IWSR category data, Mindset (shopper behaviors) etc.  Be able to bring together multiple sources of information to identify opportunities and insights and present to key stakeholders.
  • Proficient in collating large amounts of data (Excel, power BI, Business forums, etc) and presenting key insights
  • Partnering with insights to generate category and shopper insights that uncover growth opportunities
  • Creation of tools, assets, and templates in Excel /PowerBI /PowerPoint in line with the GTR and BSI Category Framework that can be executed with customers globally
  • Support in regular Category framework updates and roll out across total channel through engaging and compelling presentation.
  • Always looking for other sources of information (category data, global economic, political, etc) to help support total channel

Qualifications

  • University degree- BS/BA or equivalent
  • Team player who thrives in a high-performing, diverse and inclusive team and works with pace and focus
  • Prior experience in Category Development / Insight /Data analysis roles – 1-2 years
  • Superior Analytical skills and passion for data/numbers
  • Advance Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills
  • Be able to turn insight into action and present to wider stakeholder group
