Purpose of Role

The CIAM engineer will be responsible for technical design and implementation of Customer Identity and Access Management solution. The engineer works closely with security and IT teammates to establish and manage a process of consumer-wide identities and access controls granted to systems and applications. The ideal person must be experienced in driving CIAM technology changes, strategy and delivering projects. The Candidate needs to have strong background on JAVA Full-stack development experience, and integrations with Customer IAM solutions (ForgeRock or similar solutions), strong understanding of managing customer identities and user access to system resources based on Customer IAM best practices. Should be able to adapt new Customer IAM tools and application development frameworks.

Role & Responsibilities

• Serve on a distributed security and technology team responsible for design and development of CIAM solution.
• Defining and maintaining approved design patterns for integration with CIAM solution.
• Implement identity controls and settings that align with policies and governance structure.
• Creating roadmap & strategy for Development and configuration of customer life cycle use cases.
• Providing technical expertise to complex relevant problems and leading technical deliveries and service offerings.
• CIAM policy set up, audit compliance and implementing governance framework.
• Work closely with security leadership, teammates, and stakeholders to evaluate and implement access models that align with organizational risk posture.
• Work closely with incident responders during potential incidents and escalate to management as needed.
• Make recommendations for improvements in automation efficiencies, security practices and end-user experience.
• Collect key performance indicators and related operational metrics, and track SLAs used to validate success as well as future areas of improvement.
• Maintain understanding of business processes to aid in managing consumer identity and access.
• Frequently interact with business units to understand their plans, risk posture and tolerance, and how CIAM supports their vision and business obligations with security in mind.
• Implement CIAM projects from inception to completion on time and within budget.
• Be part of an on-call team to support issues which may occur outside of normal business hours.

 Experience

• Preferably 3-5+ years’ experience in security systems administration, with 2+ years of hands-on experience in design & development, implementation of CIAM solution.
• Hands on experience working on programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and other development frameworks.
• Design, configuration experience with multiple leading CIAM products (Auth0, Azure B2C, ForgeRock).
• Experience in Adaptive MFA, OAuth, SAML, OpenID.
• Strong knowledge of web protocols XML, JSON, REST.
• Deep knowledge of IAM standards, restful API design, tokens, session management and profiles.
• Track record acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, and being curious and flexible.
• Strong written and oral communication skills across varying levels of the organization.
• Understanding of service design, delivery concepts and control frameworks.
• Organized, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks within defined SLAs.
• Excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions when working with complex situations.
• High degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and confidence; represents the company and its management team with the highest level of professionalism.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree preferred in information assurance, computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
