Assistant Manager Brand Extension

  • Reporting to the Brand Extension Manager of Beam Suntory India, the newly formed Brand Extension Assistant Manager role is tasked with executing the Brand extension roadmap for India business
  • The individual will lead a cross-functional effort to take the Beam Suntory India organisation to a new level of sophistication on sales planning and execution, delivering a critical business enabler for achieving the 2030 Vision
  • This is a great chance for a profile with relevant commercial experience, analytical style and entrepreneurial mindset to establish themselves in a role with significant managerial responsibility, high visibility to Beam Suntory local and regional leadership and varied, intellectual work content
  • The role is a platform to growth within Beam Suntory, both within the Indian organisation and internationally

Role Responsibilities 

Enable transformation of sales force ways of working, skills and culture, including:

  • Revisiting annually the Brand Extension Strategic Plan for India
  • Develop the extension business from scratch to its desired state within the timelines defined in the plan
  • Involves tasks around defining the metrics of the extension business, finalising right partners / Business Development , due diligence, contracting, launch in market, post launch measurement and running day-to-day operations of onboarded franchisees
  • Responsible for owning the P&L of the extension business (es)
  • Review and (re-)design plan to maximize effectiveness
  • Establish performance management tools and procedures (e.g., performance dashboards; coordinating in-house and external technology service providers to automate performance tracking)
  • Conduct reviews
  • Some other areas of intervention as per need of the organization Plan
  • Travel would be required as per need of the project 

 

Qualification 

  • Around 5-6 years experience in managing similar Brand Extension business, Or some Management Consulting background (preferably in FMCG/beverage companies) Or some BD + commercial experience in consumer goods/beverages sector (likes of Bisleri, Pepsi, Coca Cola etc.)
  • Bias towards fact-based, analytical approach, clear communication skills
  • MBA preferred though not mandatory
