This role is a great opportunity to work in a local market and understand the unique characteristics of a "route to market" organization whilst working in close coordination with International Revenue Management.
Role Responsibilities
• Provide guidance on strategic pricing decisions to the specific markets.
• Challenge the local sales team in respect to pricing (incl. trade terms), customer profitability, commercial positioning, customer negotiation, budget and risk management
• Support the improvement of profitability through robust KPI measurement and continuous enhancements of our initiatives and promotion strategy
• Support the German/Austria promotion fund administration process (Trade Promotion System) for the daily business as well as all financial planning cycles
• Supporting the annual pricing process, including creation of customer P&Ls and meaningful analytics to support the local commercial organization.
• Support the local commercial organization by creating pricing analyses, creation of customer P&Ls and meaningful analytics
• Increase the efficiency of Gross-to-Net and strengthen revenue realization of the business to generate fuel to fund continued brand-investments
• Steering of international pricing targets (ITN) and actual vs. BUD vs. ITN analysis
• In partnership with commercial organization, identify specific and measurable scenarios to increase revenue realization (ROI) and implement best practices
• Develop format to analyze and present investment and pricing analytics, modelling methodology and potential solutions to commercial leadership
• Work effectively cross functionally, particularly across sales, marketing, pricing, commercial finance & international RM teams
• Identify and implement best financial practices
• Support regional and global IT projects as required
Qualifications
• 3-4 years of previous work experience as a Finance Business Partner or in similar commercial roles preferred in the consumer goods/FMCG industry
• University degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related
• Sound commercial understanding
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proactive approach to problem solving and results orientation
• Strong time manager, able to prioritize a diverse workload and deadlines
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and strong team player
• Ability to work well in a culturally and functionally diverse environment
• MS Office skills (esp. Excel) are a must
• Fluent in English and German (speak, read, write)
