This position is based in Frankfort, Kentucky and will appeal to you if you are looking to manage the end-to- end employee life cycle. You will play a critical role in managing all aspects of employee relations from Onboarding to Offboarding, bringing your unique experience and perspective, fostering a productive workplace environment, and ensuring a positive employee experience.

Role Responsibilities

• First point of contact for HR inquiries from our employees.
• Independently handle and clarify general inquiries to the HR department based on established methods and standard operating procedures
• Provide direct support to address employee and manager issues/enquiries that cannot be addressed through self-service
• Advise on, interpret and manage contracts, HR/ PS policies and procedures
• Managing human resources process and transactions via HRIS
• Facilitate and aid with document preparation for new hire orientation, discipline actions, organizing documents for employee records.
• Assist with and deliver portions of new hire orientation to all new hires
• Facilitation and implementation of new training, development, recruiting, onboarding, and other related initiatives
• Manage offboarding activities, unemployment claims, pension-related activities
• Manage/maintain timekeeping systems and timesheets; review and ensure accuracy
• Overall absenteeism management and prepare documents for disciplinary action when needed
• Preparation of payroll changes for internal payroll team including bonuses, rate changes, deductions and CBA compensation requirements (including time off pay/balances)
• Support with implementing and administering contractual agreement (CBA), employee policies, and benefits
• Liaison for employee LOA/FMLA/STD paperwork/RTW communication & process
• Liaison for other employee benefits; tuition assistance, open enrollment communications, UFCW, etc.
• Ensure Employee Relations legal requirements are met at a local level to minimize exposure and liability General support of the HR Business Partner
• Assist in Employee engagement, plan events i.e. picnics, Holiday parties, raffles, recognition, vaccines, blood drives, etc.
• Manage communication to Employees via video boards
• Contributing ideas on ways to improve our services, processes and policies
• Daily intake of employee call-in line and communicating to appropriate team membersPrepare daily and weekend manning schedule

Qualifications

Required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources Confident written and verbal English communication
• Completed Degree-level education or Professional qualification in the field of human resources or a related discipline
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently
• Attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility
• Ability to handle sensitive & confidential information with discretion


Desired
• Experience with a shared service environment preference
• Experience working with HR systems for maintaining employee data – SuccessFactors preferred
• Experience working with a case management system is desired, but not required
• Experience with applicant tracking and T&A management system is desired
• Experience with payroll processes and benefits administration
• Preferred HR background, minimal two (2) years of clerical experience
• Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to create reports through, dependability, organization, scheduling, confidentiality, independence, teamwork
• Possess intermediate skills with Microsoft office
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
