Role Responsibilities

  • Determine work procedures, prepare schedules and expedite workflow.
  • Report all work that must be done to the warehouses and the equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations. Follow-up to ensure completion of needed repairs.
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of barrels received and shipped from the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect, test and report on the quality of new barrels.
  • Maintain accurate records of the type and number of barrels shipped and/or received daily.
  • Train and demonstrate to employees the methods of operating equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and recommend corrective action. Maintain preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Create new assessments for computer-based training programs. Assist hourly personnel with completing assessments.

Additional Role and Responsibilities

  • Check the elevators of warehouses to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times. Conduct safety bench talks and ensuring adherence to company, DOT and OSHA safety standards.
  • Enter accurate data in computer
  • Serve as Attorney-in-Fact for the company when dealing with bonded materials and associated paperwork.
  • Maintain clear communication between the various warehouse crews, warehouse supervisors and other departmental personnel interfacing with the operation of the Warehouse Department.
  • Adheres to and promotes quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Associate/Bachelor Degree in Business, engineering or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a unionized environment preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years in a warehouse environment preferred
  • Must understand the bourbon aging and barrel storage process
  • Must be detailed orientated
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to comply with OSHA procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic math computations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Can use a computer for basic functions including email, SAP, and others.
