Role Responsibilities

Global Sourced Alcohol
•    Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive global Sourced Alcohol Procurement category strategy encompassing Canadian whisky, Scotch, Blending Wines, Cane Spirits, Malt Spirits, and Grain Spirits across international markets, overseeing total spend of USD 70M annually.
•    Construct and update a supplier capability matrix and industry landscape for key category regions, ensuring BSI's ability to source spirits consistently in terms of quality and price.
•    Collaborate closely with the project team in Japan to identify key requirements and contribute to the development and optimization of end-to-end solutions using both internal and external suppliers for Sourced Alcohol needs.
•    Act as a strategic sourcing partner for OU Leads, Business Leaders, and General Managers, providing assessment, advice, and execution for sourced alcohol requirements.
•    Lead contract negotiations and ongoing management with all sourced alcohol vendors.
•    Drive performance in key metrics related to Quality, Sustainability, and DEI agendas in collaboration with core vendors.
•    Drive scope 3 sustainability KPIs with all core and priority vendors across spirit types
•    Assume responsibility for all aspects of supplier relationship management in the context of global sourced alcohol procurement.
•    Serve as a subject matter expert in spirit sourcing within key category markets.
Global Contract Manufacturing 
•    Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive Global Contract Manufacturing strategy for BSI Procurement, encompassing spend of USD 50M+
•    Evaluate existing co-manufacturing relationships and establish unit-level co-manufacturing engagement and management plans.
•    Identify new capacity availability across industry channels and maintain a standing portfolio of co-manufacturing capability matrix.
•    Engage with business leaders, R&D projects, marketing, and NPD projects to assess and advise on upcoming co-manufacturing requirements and capabilities.
•    Act as a strategic sourcing partner, collaborating with the Co-man Operations leader to deliver procurement support for co-manufacturing scoping, negotiation, and contracting.
•    Deliver on scope 3 requirements and commitments by engaging contract manufacturers to align with sustainability initiatives.
•    Be a subject matter expert on BSI co-manufacturing engagements and contracting.
US RTD Contracting
•    Develop a comprehensive procurement strategy for US RTD co-packing engagements that align with BSI’s RTD ambition. 
•    Survey the RTD industry space for supply chain capacity, availability, and capabilities, matching them to BSI requirements.
•    Formulate a strategic sourcing plan for all US RTD-related manufacturing, co-packing, and liquid sourcing capacities for all US RTD projects.
•    Engage in S2P projects to assess and advise on co-packing and liquid requirements related to new product development.
•    Issue RFPs, negotiate, and manage RTD co-packing agreements, working closely with the co-manufacturing operations leader to support business requirements.
•    Ensure a clean and successful handover of SRM activities related to co-packing agreements to the co-manufacturing operations leader.
•    Collaborate with commercial and business counterparts to understand and build a future pipeline, estimate requirements, and create a pipeline of potential 3rd party partners.
 

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of core procurement, contract-manufacturing or project management experience is required.
• Experience in the wider beverage or spirits, beer, RTD industry is highly valuable.
• Ability to independently drive action, build structure and processes, and see projects through completion.
• Resourceful, collaborative along with detail-oriented approach to problem-solving with a focus on execution.
• Ability to synthesize large sets of information and requirements into a concise and effective strategy.
• Capacity to work cross-functionally with diverse and global teams, building consensus to execute on strategy.
• Familiarity with contract documents and ability to work cross functionally with Legal group.
• Knowledge or business process design in ERP systems to help guide process set up for new vendors, contract manufacturers.
