Senior Human Resources Manager  

 

Mission

  • Responsible for labor relations and collective negotiations 
  • Partner with the leadership team on building our future leaders through robust succession and development planning.
  • Lead organization development and change management
  • Roll out HR initiatives and programs  (e.g. performance, merit, engagement, etc).
  • Collaborate on building the D&I agenda and support education, participation, and involvement
  • Facilitate the Lean Manufacturing journey through leading the TRACC Team Work Pillar for James B Beam Distilling Co
  • Support leaders on continuously building engagement and company pride among employee groups.
  • Coach managers and employees on HR policies and processes, recommending solutions aligned to HR strategic direction. 
  • Ensure there is a robust communications plan in place utilizing effective communication channels.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal managers and other team members with a focus on service.
  • Accurately and positively represents the culture and values of the organization, 
  • Partners with other HR functions, such as Global Business Services as needed to identify develop and deliver projects which align with business objectives. 
  • Works with plant staff in an effort to improve organizational effectiveness. This includes being an active participant in all Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Manages the local tax credits, grants and partners.
  • Conducts investigations and provides solutions to issues in the plant.
  • Provides capability/competency needs and training requirements for plant and salaried employees.
  • Conducts on-boarding for all salaried and hourly employees.
  • Manage all data input for job changes, promotions, benefits and related updates, as well as other org chart changes.

  • This role will have an HR accountability for all James B Beam Distilling Co Manufacturing Operations, comprising all distillery and packaging operations in Clermont and Boston, KY supporting roughly 400 employees

Desired Qualifications

 

  • 5-7 years of HR experience in a union environment
  • Contract negotiation experience in a lead role
  • Strong analytical ability, including knowledge to interpret data and provide recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including previous experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing tools, principles and successful implementation as it relates to HR.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Power Point)
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.
