Plant Performance Transformation Lead
The following position is open in Clermont Kentucky, United States.

- Manage the implementation of the Operational Excellence program at the Clermont facility, working closely with the Plant Leadership and operations teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and then drive the process to impact the results.
- Lead and Manage change effectively and efficiently and provide leadership and direction
- Design and deliver training to support the implementation of Operational Excellence and provide the tools to develop hourly and salary employees to meet the safety, quality, food safety, environmental and production requirements. Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis using scorecards and performance transformation assessments as well as Performance Boards.
- Train and develop teams in the methodology and tools to eliminate waste and increase efficiency in all operations, manufacturing and support functions. Ensures full education and implementation to ensure consistency and sustainability.
- To ensure “Best Practice”, compared to competitors and other industries, is implemented.
- To develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement by involving & developing all employees.
Role Responsibilities
- Owns and drives the roll out of TRACC across the Plant
- Supports the Plant Leader (line manager) with development and execution of the Operational Excellence strategy, aligned to the plant’s strategies.
- Owns the TRACC Master Plan, updating as required in conjunction with operational leadership team.
- Review effectiveness of L&D solutions for Operational Excellence and looks to continually improve.
- Acts as the conscience for operational compliance with the philosophies of Operational Excellence.
- Supports the Plant Manager and Senior Team in the execution of leading and managing change and building empowerment.
- Supports and provides guidance to the Plant Leadership to help steer the agenda and build the TRACC Master Plan.
- Communicates the status of all Operational Excellence efforts to the plant leadership. Provides documentation of results and benefits achieved to the plant leadership as reported through TRACC assessments and scorecard.
- Builds Beam Suntory enhancements to the TRACC methodology (best practice examples, templates, training materials, procedures, etc.).
- Shares ownership of plant performance levels against operational targets.
- Assists operational teams to identify performance improvement opportunities and to deliver against these using lean best practices.
- Supports leaders in designing and executing an effective benchmarking strategy (internal and external).
- Works with HR leadership as required, particularly to ensure that the Plant organizational structure has been reviewed and that resources are aligned for the Lean transformation.
- Helps develop Plant lean advocates with an emphasis on championing the Plant’s goals, objectives, and implementation plans relative to TRACC Assessments, Plant Strategy Deployment, and Master Plan.
- Extensive experience going from the “shop floor” to Plant management levels facilitating change in culture across all levels of the organizations to ensure that Operational Excellence and Six Sigma philosophies are embraced in order to significantly improve business execution.
- Develops weekly and monthly reports documenting progress toward goals and objectives of improvement.
- Documents practices, policies and procedures to enable subsequent implementations to align with initial implementation and align with other systems such as ISO and other Management or data systems
- Transfers the ownership of Lean principles to facility leadership and lean teams once implemented.
- Adheres to and promotes environmental health and safety as one of the organization’s key business priorities.
- Develop Six Sigma – yellow belt, green belt and black belt program
Qualifications & Experience
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing programs
- Proven skills in coaching and delivery of training to cross functional areas of the business
- Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships cross functionally
- Understanding of management ISO systems and standards
- Proven skills to motivate, inspire and lead change
- Ability to work across multiple locations and geographies
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven ability to inspire and lead change
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified to degree level in a science/engineering or lean discipline
- 3+ years of management experience in a Manufacturing function is required.
- Six-sigma or other problem-solving experience/qualifications
- Train the Trainer or other training qualification
- Experience with TRACC is desirable
- Proven knowledge of Integrated Management systems
- Demonstrable auditing experience
- Microsoft Office experience with a strong working knowledge in Excel (regression analysis, pivot tables etc.)
- Document Control experience
- Knowledge of Food Safety and GMP practices
