We seek a highly skilled and experienced IT Digital Manufacturing Technical Lead Architect to work on our global program for implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) solutions. This role is important to enable our digital transformation efforts, enhancing our manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring operational excellence across all global facilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in design of large-scale IT projects in the manufacturing sector, with a deep understanding of digital technologies and their capabilities in improving manufacturing processes.
Role Responsibilities
System Design: Lead the technical design, build, test and deployment off an enterprise-wide architecture for MES and Plant Maintenance solutions, aligning with the company's business & technical objectives and overall digital transformation goals.
Offshore Team Management: TBD
Team Environment: Skilled in working collaboratively within a project team environment and developing skills to support evolving needs.
Change Management: Participate in change management activities, ensuring the adoption of new systems and processes by training staff, warranting high-quality standards in user documentation, and providing ongoing support.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with technical teams, business stakeholders, and management effectively, facilitating clear and productive discussions. Experience with effectively communicating design and technical concepts to business leads.
Large-Scale Project Experience: Proven experience designing large, complex system involving both external partners and internal resources.
Vendor Collaboration: Design in collaboration with software vendors and implementation partners to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in digital manufacturing, evaluating and implementing innovative solutions that can enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all digital manufacturing designs comply with relevant industry standards, data security policies, and best practices. Become an advocate of the core model.
Support experience: Capability support and maintenance of implemented systems, ensuring their reliability and effectiveness over time.
Qualifications
Soft Skills:
Teamwork: Experience working in team dynamics. Ability to work with technical, functional, and business personnel during design and implementation phases of a project. Experience with testing procedures within a team dynamic including plant level system users.
Technical Proficiency:
MES and Plant Maintenance Systems: Deep knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (preferably Aveva Suite) and Plant Maintenance solution designs. Experience in integrating system (i.e. SAP to ensure seamless data flow and process optimization) to assure best practice in designs.
SCADA and PLC Integrations: knowledge in supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and programmable logic controllers (PLC), with the ability to integrate these technologies with MES for enhanced operational control and data collection in designs.
Quality Management: Understanding quality management principles and their application within MES to support continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.
KPIs and Dashboards: Experience with design for appropriate KPI’s and delivery to dashboards
OT and infrastructure: basic understanding of OT security, IoT, Industry 4.0, servers, OT networks, and smart factory technologies.
Nice to have:
Machine Learning and Predictive Maintenance: Experience in applying machine learning algorithms and predictive maintenance models in systems design to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime, enhancing overall plant efficiency.
Sustainability Systems Integration: Knowledge of concepts of integrating MES with sustainability systems to support environmental compliance and promote sustainable manufacturing practices.
JIRA Project Management Tool: Experience with Project Management principles and tools such as JIRA.
