Financial Analyst  

 

Mission

 

Role Mission

Beam Suntory is a manufacturer and distributor of spirits, with annual net sales in excess of $4 billion, with over 60% of sales from international markets. This role will manage the end to end cost process for new innovations and changes to base products within the portfolio.  The role will work directly with Finance Business Partner, Americas Supply Chain and various cross functional organizations.  The position will be part of the team responsible for creating new cost estimates for projects, inventory reporting, managing and analyzing these focus areas for reporting and continuous improvement for North America.  Areas of Focus include:

 

End to End Product Costing Management

  • Accurate cost estimate completion for projects presented for innovation and/or proposed design changes within brand portfolio(s) for three stage gates.
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing, Operations, Research and Development, Procurement, Commercial, Regulatory, Master Data, Supply Chain and Finance teams to drive accurate cost estimates and project decisions.
  • Accurate and timely reporting and monitoring of project expense actuals.
  • Minutes and documentation of executive leadership decisions regarding the project approval(s) and actions.
  • Timely responses within service level agreements.
  • Provide support and training in ways of working to our customers and partners throughout the organization.

 

Inventory Management

  • Help manage end to end inventory reporting for both Case Finished Goods (CFG) and Dry Goods (DG).
  • Prepare monthly inventory reporting for both CFG and DG to be shared and communicated to the executive leadership of the organization.
  • Calculate and identify Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) exposure for the Americas Supply Chain.
  • Miscellaneous inventory reporting as needed.

Controls and Risk Management

  • Complete month end activities and controls as defined/assigned.
  • Implement effective and efficient controls over the standard work processes.
  • Support/coordinate entity specific internal and external audits.

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills.
  • SAP, Business Intelligence and Microsoft Office application experience required.
  • Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay and/or Manufacturing background preferred.
  • Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) experience a plus.

 

Candidate must be flexible to travel and work non-traditional hours as business activities necessitate.
