 eCommerce Sales Manager, National Accounts

The e-Commerce Sales Manager, National Accounts will be accountable for bringing our portfolio of brands to life across our National Accounts, ensuring our iconic brands come to life on the digital shelf in a category that is just beginning to move online. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of effective tactics to drive influence, is results-oriented, and comfortable with a fast pace due to dynamic customer environments/priorities. This person should be a self-starter who can work independently while engaging in cross-functional collaboration to support broader brand and eCommerce objectives through good communication, organizational skills, and influential leadership.

Role Responsibilities

Account Management:

  • Responsible for driving annual eCommerce NSV and DGP growth while extending profitable market share growth for Beam Suntory within the channel.
  • Customer facing role that prepares presentation documents and verbally present to customers across a range of topics, including: partnership exploration, quarterly/annual business reviews, programming ideas, contracts with Third Parties, and more.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with eCommerce customers (brick and mortar retailers with online businesses).
  • End-to-end content management including the creation, tracking, and optimization of digital programs ensuring we deliver best-in-class online experiences for consumers and retailers.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including digital content manger, digital Category Manager, brand teams, and state-level managers to deliver robust omnichannel programming.
  • Track and collate channel performance of accounts on a weekly/monthly basis and create quarterly performance presentations for internal and external stakeholders.      
  • Understand the competitive landscape and make recommendations back into the business on how we can optimize and grow market share.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Interface with Sales Leadership, Local Brand Marketing Teams, and National Account Managers.
  • Support localized eCommerce trainings to local sales and marketing teams and distributor partners.
  • Be a key member of the eCommerce team, serving as a champion for this channel within the organization.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education- Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) required, preferably in a business discipline
  • Years of experience- 2+ years of experience as a National/Strategic Account Manager or 5+ years of experience in retail / consumer products sales, promotional marketing, or eCommerce content/marketing
  • Industry experience- Experience in digital / eCommerce sales or beverage alcohol ideal, but not required
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to influence and collaborate across functions
  • Analytical skills to identify opportunities and tell a story internally and externally
  • Passion for digital and the consumer’s online shopping experience
  • Action-oriented self-starter with an “ownership” mindset
  • Extensive, demonstrable skills within Microsoft Office, especially Power Point & Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Specific commercial experience in the spirits, beverages, or consumer products industries would be a plus, but not mandatory
