Sr. Analyst IT - Sales & Commercial Data

This position will be part of the Global IT – Sales organization and support the company’s Commerce Excellence initiatives by playing a key role data management to support the development of advanced analytics solutions and capabilities.  You will be joining a high performing team that works cross-functionally, including with the Commercial Data Architect, Commercial BI/Reporting Analyst, business partners in Commercial Excellence, Sales, Sales Strategy/Planning, and Commercial Marketing in the US and Canada and the IT Data Engineering and Analytics COE.

They will be the subject matter expert for commercial data, including the end-to-end process from distributor/retailer to final analytics/insights. The analyst will be for working with our business partners to understand their data needs, capturing business requirements for enhancing existing process, as well as new projects and be process improvements & documentation, onboarding new data sources, data quality checks and validations.

The role is a key conduit between business, IT and external partners to maximize the value of our data and drive business results.

Role Responsibilities

The role will support multiple markets across the organization supporting the Commercial teams.
•    Subject Matter Expert on Commercial Data, including:
o    Data Management (collection, cleansing, and harmonization)
o    Data Sources (distributors, retailers, third-party)
o    Data Flows
o    Data definitions and key metrics
o    Commercial programs, including Commercial Excellence, KPI, President’s Club, Incentive, etc. 
o    KPI data management and reporting 
o    Data harmonization and accurate reporting 

•    Level 1 support for internal teams/users
•    BI visualization and reporting 
•    Deep knowledge in understanding the commercial data: Points of distribution, velocity, etc 
•    Intimate understanding of the data that allows for working backwards to resolve data questions or resolution 
•    Executing data standards across markets 
•    Clear capabilities for reporting and visualization  
•    Document key processes – existing and new
•    Execute standard operating procedures on weekly/monthly basis.
•    Data validation across systems and tools
•    Capture new requirements and work with cross functional teams and external partners to assess, recommend and deliver solutions.
•    Continuous improvement – identify ways to improve the process, data quality and data sources to drive business satisfaction and results.
•    Utilize Agile project management best practices to track work priorities, communicate updates and complete responsibilities in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • This role requires 4+ years working in a data analyst role.
  • Exposure to SAP, Google Cloud Services, Salesforce.com.
  • Strong Excel and other data wrangling tool skills required.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including SQL and Python.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a related area.
  • Experience working in AGILE framework a plus.
  • Consumer Packaged Goods experience is a plus.
  • Ability to participate in multiple complex programs at the same time in an agile environment.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
