The Sr. Analyst has an opportunity to partner with senior leaders, strategy, marketing, supply chain, and other finance teams. Drive insights and promote the utilization of streamlined and uniform analytical and reporting processes across the commercial organization.
This position is a key member of the US Commercial Finance team for Suntory Global Spirits. The finance team works with the Commercial Sales Leadership to ensure SGS achieves strategic and financial objectives. It provides decision support through business acumen and financial analysis.
Role Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst role on this team will provide analytical support for our monthly reporting and performance analysis for the US Commercial team. Key responsibilities include annual planning, monthly and quarterly performance analysis, management reporting preparation, and analyzing results to provide insightful analysis into key P&L drivers and underlying trends. Your goal is to ensure that the commercial and finance leadership teams receive the insight required to meet key strategic and financial objectives for the US business.
- Provide analytical support to Senior Commercial Leadership
- Assist in the development of the annual budget & forecasting process by providing meaningful insights through rigorous financial analysis which will help influence business decisions
- Become a knowledge expert of the tools and reporting suites to influence and shape strategic budgets and forecasts thorough data insights(Anaplan, EDW, Tableau, Power BI, SAP, etc)
- Coordinate, develop, maintain, and distribute monthly standard reporting for both internal and external reporting purposes
- Preparation for monthly US commercial meetings and associated presentations
- Drive continual improvement of reporting and processes with the ultimate goal of driving consistent, timely, and value-added analysis of management results
- Responsible for ad hoc projects and analysis as needed and appropriate
- Ability and passion to distill and share financial knowledge with new commercial business partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 3+ years of experience
- Strong Excel skills required
- Knowledge of Anaplan cloud base planning software, SAP financial applications and systems preferred, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (candidate will develop and maintain key working relationships within the organization that cross over accounting, operations, and commercial finance)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills required
- Ability to conceptualize and think creatively
- Specific experience in the spirits, beverage, or consumer reports business would be a plus
