In partnership with account and creative, this role is a critical component in our collective efforts to build famous brands that make a difference. Specifically, this is a key role, leading our strategy and insights agenda, championing culture and a consumer-first mindset, and delivering unique and innovative strategies across our agency. This role will focus on Identifying consumer and marketplace-based trends, then translating them into the “creative juice” that catapults creative development.


At the core of our consumer experiences is Design.  In the spirits industry, Design is a key driver of brand building – traditional advertising is often limited, and design plays a critical role in how consumers relate to our brands.  After the liquid in the bottle, it is the single most important and impactful driver of brand experience and value and a major signal of premiumization.  This role will leverage design thinking and the strategic use of design as a driver of brand value, ensuring that we execute this at all key touchpoints with excellence and consistency.

We will look to this role to Inspire teams to think differently; to break convention and be an advocate for leveraging creativity to engage with our consumers



Role Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across the full Proof business leading the development of creative briefs, strategic documents, trend reports, and client presentations. Enriching the collective intellectual property of the team by providing thought provoking insights and culturally relevant ideas
  • Partners with account teams to identify strategic opportunities for brand growth and distinctive creative development to lead inspiring creative briefings for the agency
  • Partners with creative teams in ideation and serves as insightful sounding board during creative development. The planner will have a very close working relationship with the creative team to lead the development of how the agency tells the story of our work, framing creative work with strategic thinking.
  • Liaise closely with the Global Insights team to leverage brand knowledge, existing research, insights and importantly the shopper journey
  • Form strong client relationships to further Proof’s proposition as a trusted advisors and invaluable creative partner within the Marketing organization; know the brands’ business well and provide insightful thought leadership while Inspires clients with distinctive and strategic thinking and creative presentations
  • Stay on the pulse of culture to ensure agency ideas are breakthrough
  • Monitors, analyses, and applies trade, brand, and key category and competitive news as well as emerging trends, with an emphasis on emerging technology, ecommerce, digital marketing, and social media
  • Champion the integration of multi-cultural insights and DEI principles across all work


Qualifications & Experience

  • Excellent track record of 6 Years plus of proven planning leadership:
    • Delivering provocative results-focused solutions driving brand growth and engagement
    • Strong presentation persona and writing skills enabling ability to sell in creative strategies and programs
    • Demonstrates the ability to develop breakthrough and impactful creative across the consumer experience and shopper journey
    • Strong agency working relationships and collaboration
    • Multi-cultural and DEI cross channel work
  • Even better if you have experience in…
    • Creative planning of global brands
    • In house/studio experience
    • Elevating design thinking and principles end to end across multiple touchpoints (primary packaging, innovation, in-store design, POS, digital content)
    • Planning within a comparable industry (drinks or luxury/beauty experience strongly preferred)
