Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the network optimization agenda on a Global scale: develop the Network Design and Optimization strategy in alignment with the broader Supply Chain Strategy
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, each targeting $1MM – $5MM more in net supply chain efficiency opportunities: these projects may include distribution network design, transportation mode selection, inventory hub and spoke optimization, capacity planning, and multi-echelon inventory optimization
  • Execute project responsibilities, including data collection, analysis, documentation, and presentation, as well as status updates and other relevant communication
  • Maintain communication routines with broader project management stakeholders, including Steering Teams and other stakeholders regarding project outputs, methodologies, scenario or constraint definitions, status, and prioritization
  • Update or develop and document best practices and modeling standards that help ensure consistency across network modeling activities globally
  • Partner with other modeling resources to support a matrixed organization and flexible support model, where our team of modelers can help each other and the portfolio as a whole: provide coaching to analysts in support of specific projects as well as broader development and performance management
  • Communicate regularly with Senior stakeholders in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and others

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, operations research, or related experience equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years experience in Supply Chain Analytics or related discipline
  • Excellent verbal (presentation) and written communication skills
  • Strong supply chain experience and understanding of Supply Chain operating models
  • Analytical experience, including specific experience with Supply Chain Network Modeling, BI tools, visualization, relational data structures, and financial modeling
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data and fluent in data manipulation and other analytical techniques, including display and visualization
  • Experience running supply chain network models and modeling projects, with expertise in Supply Chain Guru (Coupa / Llamasoft) or similar network modeling and solver applications.  Experience should include familiarity with digital twin modeling and a solid understanding of cost structures, product and location representation or aggregation, and associated modeling techniques
  • Understanding of ERP System data structures, Supply Chain data, and related transactional processes
  • Able to summarize output in business-friendly language and communicate effectively across a broad range of audiences, including plant-level stakeholders and executive decision-makers
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once; experience leading projects with cross-functional team members, high complexity, and requiring innovative approaches
  • Collaborative style, willing to work in cross-functional teams and experience influencing outside of reporting structures
  • Ability to travel as needed to understand supply chain processes (including manufacturing) through first-hand observation and Gemba walks: travel is not likely to be required on a consistent basis, but occasional travel is expected (including international)
