The Sr. Manager, GSC Network Optimization will support a broad agenda that is focused on executing key strategic Network Optimization initiatives spanning the end-to-end Supply Chain. Central to the role, this individual will scope & lead strategic network modeling activities for key cross-functional initiatives with focus on Enterprise Productivity, Resilience, Process Improvement, and other strategic SC change imperatives. As this role serves as a business partner to multiple functions across the organization, strong business acumen, project management, and influencing skills will be critical.
Role Responsibilities
Responsibilities and accountabilities for the Sr. Manager, GSC Network Optimization include:
• Develop and drive the network optimization agenda on a Global scale: develop the Network Design and Optimization strategies in alignment with the broader Supply Chain & Enterprise Productivity Strategy
• Manage a portfolio of projects, each targeting $1MM – $5MM more in net supply chain efficiency opportunities: these projects may include distribution network design, transportation mode selection, inventory hub and spoke optimization, capacity planning, and multi-echelon inventory optimization
• Execute project responsibilities, including data collection, analysis, documentation, and presentation, as well as status updates and other relevant communication
• Maintain communication routines with broader project management stakeholders, including Steering Teams and other stakeholders regarding project outputs, methodologies, scenario or constraint definitions, status, and prioritization
• Update or develop and document best practices and modeling standards that help ensure consistency across network modeling activities globally
• Partner with other modeling resources to support a matrixed organization and flexible support model, where our team of modelers can help each other and the portfolio as a whole: provide coaching to analysts in support of specific projects as well as broader development and performance management
• Communicate regularly with Senior stakeholders in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and others
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations research, or related experience equivalent
• Minimum 8 years experience in Supply Chain Analytics or related discipline
• Excellent verbal (presentation) and written communication skills
• Strong supply chain experience and understanding of Supply Chain operating models
• Analytical experience, including specific experience with Supply Chain Network Modeling, BI tools, visualization, relational data structures, and financial modeling
• Ability to work with large amounts of data and fluent in data manipulation and other analytical techniques, including display and visualization
• Experience running supply chain network models and modeling projects, with expertise in Supply Chain Guru (Coupa / Llamasoft) or similar network modeling and solver applications. Experience should include familiarity with digital twin modeling and a solid understanding of cost structures, product and location representation or aggregation, and associated modeling techniques
• Understanding of ERP System data structures, Supply Chain data, and related transactional processes
• Able to summarize output in business-friendly language and communicate effectively across a broad range of audiences, including plant-level stakeholders and executive decision-makers
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once; experience leading projects with cross-functional team members, high complexity, and requiring innovative approaches
• Collaborative style, willing to work in cross-functional teams and experience influencing outside of
TRAVEL:
Up to 15% travel domestic and international is required.
The salary range for this role, based in Chicago is $145,000- $155,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
