The Sr. Manager, Consumer Connections, eComm & Digital Enablement is responsible for developing and executing strategies to fuel consumer discovery, engagement, and drive brand trial across key eCommerce strategic partners. This role involves leading teams to create integrated marketing campaigns, leveraging data and insights to optimize consumer touchpoints, and ensuring a cohesive brand experience across all channels.

Role Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager will be a critical team leader, serving as the voice of all things eCommerce, Retail media, Data & Technology, helping to shape portfolio and brand plans to further enable the online path to purchase.  This role will own 3rd party eCommerce media strategy and execution in close collaboration with Commercial eCommerce leads, supporting team and agency prioritization and problem-solving to achieve brand goals.  

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the US eComm media planning process from strategy to execution and oversee day-to-day media and budget management across 3rd Party eComm partners while closely collaborating with the eCommerce Sales and Digital Shelf teams.
  • Steward daily, weekly, monthly eComm media performance for priority brands across partners and platforms to drive maximum sales output with frequent and ongoing optimization.  Lead efforts across both the agency team and partners to improve performance across key metrics like Sales and ROAS.
  • Build influential relationships with internal Marketing and Commercial teams, serving as an in-house thought leadership resource for media expertise, especially through the lens of biddable media, eCommerce, and data & technology.
  • Define and operationalize eComm data-driven best practices in media planning through the funnel, build new capabilities and playbooks, standardize measurement across the portfolio, and instill into brand planning with goal of driving ROI and brand metrics within full funnel brand campaigns
  • Onboard new retail media and other data sources/partners for media execution, serving as the internal lead across Legal, Privacy, IT, and beyond.
  • Serve as NA lead point of contact collaborating with Global across all digital and technology enterprise solutions including verification, adserving, tech stack, and beyond.  
  • Lead digital and data enablement projects, focusing on establishing brand audience CDP strategy frameworks, insights, and quarterly optimizations.  Assessing data 1P, 2P, 3P data quality and opportunities and driving measurement and attribution analysis
  • Foster an ongoing spirit of curiosity for consumer & industry trendspotting to continually evolve the BSI approach to media to align with consumer needs/expectations along with digital, eComm/retail media or technology advancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of related experience with a focus on planning and executing eCommerce and performance-based media
  • Understanding of the broader digital and media strategy discipline, including touchpoint mix/prioritization, buying efficiency, effectiveness in execution, and agency relationships
  • Strong ability building, executing, and scaling omnichannel strategies including being well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Strong quantitative skills required to analyze and optimize campaign performance with deep understanding of key digital marketing metrics and familiarity with media measurement and verification partners (i.e. DoubleVerify, IRI, Market Mix Modeling, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to set deadlines, track progress, manage up/down and expertly leverage tools like PowerPoint and Excel to support daily work
  • Proven track record of leading with influence, working in a highly matrixed environment and stewarding cross-functional teams to deliver business impact
  • Self-starter, with a passion to challenge the status quo, curiosity, desire, and ability to dive deeper into consumer trends
  • Ability to work successfully with teams and independently on multiple projects under tight deadlines with limited supervision
  • Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative approaches to connect with consumers

 

Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in Chicago, is $120,000 to $140,000, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate ,with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset.
