Senior Finance Analyst

This role supports Suntory Global Spirits’ largest region and can be a stepping stone to future finance opportunities in the commercial business or a transition to a corporate accounting role.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting entries and work closely with regional teams to ensure they understand the financial impact of the month-end entries
• Complete all financial close deliverables. Requirements include financial reporting schedules, variance analyses, and quarterly Balance Sheet reviews with the Corporate Controller
• Prepare and/or review account reconciliations monthly to ensure all accounts are compliant with IFRS accounting guidelines
• Coordinate support for both internal and external audits for the region
• Analyze financial results to identify balance sheet risk or potential accounting breakdowns
• Partner cross-functionally to manage process improvement projects, foster greater accountability and improve efficiency throughout the region
• Prepare accurate brand investment spend reporting, conduct monthly variance analysis and partner with marketing group to ensure monthly forecasts reflect understanding of key dynamics
• Audit brand investment spend to verify spend is in line with compliance policies and accounted for accurately

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, with major in accounting, finance, or business administration required
• 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting related role, CPA strongly preferred
• Strong Excel skills required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (candidate will develop and maintain key working relationships within the organization that cross over accounting, operations, and commercial finance)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills required
• Ability to conceptualize and think creatively
• Specific experience in the spirits, beverage, or consumer reports business would be a plus
• Knowledge of SAP financial applications and systems preferred, but not required

Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in Chicago with a salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
