Senior Analyst - Sales Strategy

Role Responsibilities


The North American Strategy team is growing to better support our North America Leadership Team (NALT) to tackle the organization’s highest-priority strategic initiatives, identify continued near and long-term growth opportunities, and help shape the corporate agenda. Projects range from assessing emerging growth opportunities (e.g., how do we develop a direct to consumer route to market?) to regional strategy (e.g., how do we win in X market?).


This position will report to the Director, Sales Strategy with significant exposure to the North American Strategy leads and NALT.


  • Develop Beam Suntory’s go-to-market strategy, including managing RFPs and negotiation strategy
  • Support major strategic initiatives, including: market growth strategies, new routes to market, and portfolio optimization
    • Test out hypotheses through analytical rigor, collaborating cross-functionally across the company to ensure inclusion and integrity
  • Help support annual market and channel planning
    • Review past year’s performance and assess distributor efficacy
    • Identify risks and growth opportunities for upcoming years
  • Partner with Corporate Development team on due diligence/integration for regional M&A opportunities
    • Assess acquisition business cases and support negotiations
    • Manage integration projects to fold-in acquired brands into the overall business
  • Develop and deliver data-driven insights for delivery to executive teams
  • Work effectively in a team environment, both within the Strategy team and with business unit partners/stakeholders throughout the organization


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy; or 3 to 4 years of exposure to commercial elements of the spirits industry
  • Exceptional project management skills (must have led workstreams in the production of critical project deliverables)
  • Strong executive-level presentation skills (storyboarding, development and delivery)
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including financial modeling
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and unstructured work situations
  • Industry experience preferred but not required
