Role Responsibilities

 

  • Request Intake & Prioritization: Partner with stakeholders of HR data to understand their needs; collaborate closely with others on the Analytics team to prioritize requests and determine the best solution whether through a report, ad hoc analysis, analytics dashboard, etc.
  • Reporting: Maintain and deliver recurring reports according to the delivery schedule. Create new ad hoc reports to meet prioritized requests, ensuring accurate and complete data. Assist consumers in understanding the results. Triage requests and reports, queue complex reporting with HRIS team and subject experts as needed.  Collaborate with HRIS to implement the new SF reporting platform and develop plans to migrate reports. Create new standard reports in Report Stories. 
  • Special Projects: Support reorganizations globally by collaborating with HR partners, HRIS and People Solutions to update employee data that requires complex data loads. Prepare load files to hand off to HRIS and validate load results with the HR partners.
  • Data Hygiene: Establish global audit procedures for EC and Recruiting data to ensure accuracy of analytics data. Perform regular data validations to identify issues impacting downstream systems such as Glint, LMS, advise on data corrections needed in source systems and engage data owners to make corrections. Advise leadership on issues that create ongoing data clean-up and make recommendations for preventing future data errors.
  • Data Governance: Maintain the global organization structure document including updating as the structure changes and collaborate with HRIS to update the foundational structure including division, department, etc. Develop a data dictionary and clean up field definitions and data to support a global definition for all fields. Develop Global Standard Operating Procedure documents to support our ways of working.
  • Visier Maintenance: Perform regular validations of the Visier data loads including validating employee, compensation, talent, talent acquisition, etc. data. Serve as the first point of contact to resolve data load failures. In collaboration with the Analytics team, configure and introduce new features offered in Visier releases. Serve as the point of contact for Visier support tickets. Pro-actively log data quality concerns via the Visier support portal, manage tickets to resolution, and investigate issues with the Beam Suntory IT Architect when needed.
  • Analytics Projects & Roadmap: Support the execution of projects on the analytics roadmap by partnering with IT Architecture and Visier to introduce new data sources that expand analytics capabilities. Perform validation of new data as it is added to Visier. Participate in the roadmap planning process.

 

Success Criteria:

  1. Maintain highest levels of data quality in support of HR processes and analytics
  2. Standardized reports are available where needed to ensure HR uses data consistently
  3. Ad hoc reports are delivered in alignment with the “one HR voice” principles defined by the Analytics team and in compliance with data security practices.
  4. Timely and successful implementation of the Visier / Analytics roadmap
  5. Actively drive towards automation opportunities in reporting /data to reduce risk and provide speed to insights for customers

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline, including working with databases and data models
  • Five years of experience:
    • Assessing user needs, creating complex reports, delivering securely, and maintaining a report library 
    • Extracting and loading data into databases
    • Working with SuccessFactors Employee Central data model or equivalent
    • Understanding HR systems with an emphasis on the technologies used to deliver them
    • Participating in interface projects including defining interface requirements and understanding how interfaces are used as part of a technology landscape
    • Presenting issues and solutions concisely for technical and non-technical audiences
    • Working with Excel including creating v-lookups, pivot tables, formatting data, building cell formulas, etc.
  • Ability to know when and how to escalate to leadership to keep projects on track
  • Drive for results with high degree of accountability without direct authority
  • Time and task management skills with an attention to the details that make a difference
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new projects, cultures, and teams
  • Ability to apply self-directed learning methods to master new skills quickly

 

Additional Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Advanced database administration, development, or analysis training
  • Experience working with analytics tools and building visualizations
  • Experience creating talent metrics, metrics reports, or visualizations
