The HR Manager, NA Strategic Growth Platforms is an exciting role that will work to support our US based North America Marketing, Ready to drink and Strategy organizations. This individual will also play a pivotal role in leading the program management and development of our North American career rotational program, T3 (Training Tomorrows Talent).

 

The HR Manager will play a critical role in helping to support leaders and employees in the commercial organization through talent development, performance, and engagement processes. Serving as a lead for the T3 Program, the HR Manager will support the development and implementation of continuous onboarding and training curriculum, organizational design, employee feedback and engagement programs for new hires and their managers and all program coordination across the NA commercial and Brand House teams. Along with having oversight to a multi-million dollar investment, this role will have unique exposure to senior leaders and will be expected to providing updates to the North America Leadership Team.

 

 The HR Manager, NA Strategic Growth Platforms will report to the Director of Human Resources – North America Marketing & Strategic Growth Platforms.

 

Role Responsibilities

At Beam Suntory, Business Partners are business leaders first, and organization experts second, providing performance consultation to business leaders on strategic direction, critical priorities, long term direction setting, and organization implications.

 

HR Business Partner:

  • Work with the Director of Human Resources and Commercial Leaders to continue to build the culture and engagement of the Strategic Growth Platform Teams in the US Commercial organization.
  • Drive business performance and productivity through exceptional talent and people management, leveraging strategies and thought leadership from the Global Talent, Learning & Development Team
  • Effectively manage day-to-day HR activities and processes such as recruitment, adeptly managing employee issues, focused learning and development, and driving strategic agendas forward leveraging organization design, strategic workforce planning change management, and culture building capabilities
  • Work with Director of Human Resources to deliver against the US Sales D&I objectives and Organizations D&I goals.
  • Support the Director of Human Resources in rolling out organizational structure designs
  • Supports the development of robust talent and succession plans including attracting, developing and retaining exceptional talent.
  • Partner to facilitate annual performance management and compensation planning as well as calibration sessions.
  • Coach and provide HR support to leaders, teams and employees so they can perform at their best and live the Beam Suntory Values.
  • Leverage employee data and analytics to inform decision making, spot workforce trends, and drive continuous improvement.

 

T3 Program Lead:

  • Organize project scope, organizational design and onboarding process for future program rotations into Marketing and On-Premise sales roles
  • Partner with Campus Recruiter to execute D&I agenda for the respective business teams.  
  • Manage a four-year long curriculum designed to onboard, prepare and develop our T3 hires throughout their 3 assignments while in the program by leveraging appropriate business leaders, current sales and marketing curriculum and the Beam Suntory University programs
  • Develop a strategic retention plan for retaining T3 employees
  • Create, execute and oversee the training and development curriculum for new hires and their managers
  • Manage the administration of the job rotations for our T3 new hires throughout their four years, including quarterly reviews with the appropriate HR BP’s to secure the right permanent roles at the conclusion of year four of the program
  • Be responsible for building the networks and connections of the T3 cohorts and their managers to better ensure their success and retention
  • Diagnose and improve successes of this new program using appropriate metrics, KPI’s and analytics  

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Prior experience working closely alongside commercial sales and marketing organizations.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in at least one of the following areas; learning and development, university relations, talent acquisition, human resource business partnering
  • Previous experience managing business groups through the full life cycle recruitment & talent/performance management process is ideal
  • Knowledge and understanding of US employment law
  • Previous experience in employee relations is required
  • Ability to handle information in a confidential manner
  • Customizes or implements HR solutions in creative ways
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Exceptional project management skillset
  • Proven ability to effectively influence and make an impact on a wide array of stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Agile, adaptable and resilient. Enjoys working in a fast paced and consumer-centric culture
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation
